According to Moviehole, Australian politician Steve Bracks dropped a tidbit in a press conference "that the highly anticipated "Ghost Rider" will begin shooting at the Central City Studios next January, and will be the most expensive production yet filmed in Victoria." Shooting is allegedly set to begin in January with a summer 2006 release.
As reported by Ain't It Cool News

"Hey folks, Harry here... Super Hero Hype got handed the exclusive first shot of Ghost Rider's Hellcycle - and Peter Fonda's cycle and the T-800's motorcycle look like wet noodles in compare. Now - the big difference is, those were real and this Luau Hog on an open flame is pixel magic. Doesn't adhere to the laws of physics... notice how the tires are baring no weight - or how the flames apparently don't cast light on the other side of the cycle on the pavement. Ok ok ok, that's nitpicking geek s#$&. It rocks hard core. Now - show me Nick Cage with all his flesh burning way to a screaming burning skull of vengeance - and Peter Fonda as a mean as f*%& Mephisto and I'm there."
