I wasn't sure if this was the right place to put this myself, but it seems the best fit for this sort of thing. 
I was browsing the latest comics news views and rumors and came across a link to Alex Ross website. and an interesting couple of images.
I think the basic idea is "what if Tom Welling(smallville) wore the costume?".
Now this is a fairly popular concept for fan art I have seen on the web, but now you can see what a professional artist would do with the concept.
They were done for Wizard, but in the end were never used.

Personally I would like to see Tom in some variant of the costume in the smallville series, but judging from what the writers have said it's unlikely to happen.
