Yalene smiled wider, âAye, twas a tale.â She agreed, âYe wouldnât âave expected tâsee the captain go tumblinâ oâer the side oâthe ship.â Yalene laughed at the memory, it had been a windy day and the sailors were having trouble keeping the sails correct, when Captain Adras came up to inspect his crew he unfortunately got caught up in the stray ropes and ended up flailing over the side of the ship into the water below.
âThe tale is still told tânew crewmen.â Yalene took a bite of the bread, checking to make sure her large mount Seregon was still grazing in the makeshift pasture, âThe children seemed tâenjoy the tale as well.â The young woman enjoyed retelling the ship tales; it made her feel as if her family wasnât so far away. Her brothers would be unhappy to hear that she had gone wandering with a group of strangers, but she would send them letters to ensure that they knew she was well taken care of.
âTheyâre parents may not be as âappy, some are bound tâbe âearinâ the sea chanteys for days yet.â
