I won't try to say that I feel this is a tragedy, as I can't honestly say I'm a huge Rick James fan, but I will say I am rather shocked by the news as a few friends and I were just talking about him and his appearance on an award show not to long ago.

But as wth comic legend John Ritter, sometimes the ones who you'd least expect are the ones to go.
