Enchantress Wrote:DUBLIN (Reuters) - Atlantis, the legendary island nation over whose existence controversy has raged for thousands of years, was actually Ireland, according to a new theory by a Swedish scientist.

Previous theories about Atlantis have suggested it may have been around the Azores islands 900 miles west of the Portuguese coast, or in the Aegean sea. Others locate it solely in the long-decayed brain of Plato.
I'm going to have to go with the latter theory. Nothing against Ireland mind you, its just that I don't put much stock into Atlantis having actually existed outside of the hearts and minds of people. Kinda like paradise. Not a place everyone can physically find and go to, but a place that lives in the souls of hundreds of people. That's kinda my take on Atlantis.
Keep in mind though that I might only be saying this because I'm still a bit bitter over not having the common sense to tape the last two episodes of "Stargate: Atlantis".
