I am a big, self proclaimed Starjammers fan. I have a few of their appearances dating back to the Phoenix saga and their run in with the Brood. I also have the mid 90's miniseries. So, while not an expert, I have a decent working knowledge of the characters. So, I was obviously excited to see that great image of Ch'od and company above. My mind began to swim with glee at the thought of a cool new Starjammers book. I read the first few lines of the article and saw that they would be bringing in new characters. Oh oh oh..maybe a new Skrull member of Marvel's most famout pirates? Could I be so lucky?
Nope. I'm not. In fact, they are all but writing out the characters that I love so much. And Corsair won't even be in the darned book. I'm not cool with that at all. So, I think I'll take a pass. The book sounds decent enough, but without the REAL Starjammers, I think I'll pass. Maybe wait for some reviews to let me know if its worth my time. I could always pick up the TPB later.
