I've seen it already. My review is posted here: http://www.comicwidows.com/killtv/index.php?link=0029 I really do think this is the best interpretation so far of a drama where folks have super-powers. Better than Unbreakable, and better than any straight superhero flick, and that's saying a lot coming from me. It starts tonight. I'm dying to know what you folks think of it.

I really liked this show. And I was relieved that I did. I was super excited about it when they first announced it, but began to get more and more worried about its chances for success the closer they got to the premier. Something about the advertising campaign for Heroes just bugged me.
But the Pilot episode really did blow me away. It had the slow pacing that I love, similar to Lost. By taking their time they allow for deep characterization and real drama. And by only introducing a handful of their characters in the first episode, they give us plenty of time to digest the hour's worth of information without the risk overloading us or shorting themselves on quality.
I know that some people complain about this pace, but for me it is ideal. Why rush things when they have a season or more to tell their story. Let it unfold slowly, leaving the viewers on the hook. The payoff will be great, I just know it.

I liked it too, it's pretty dark so far, but it seems like a good premise. Being non-American and not having cable, I wasn't sure I would be able to watch this show since the american network it's on a cable network in Canada... anyway, I did watch it and I enjoyed it.
I'm wondering what some of their powers are (the blonde mom from Las Vegas and the guy-nurse from New York)
and how they gained their powers... because I don't think it's natural mutation...
