--------------------CHARACTER #1--------------------
Name: Sinistra
Real name :Victoria Jean Essex
Appearance: pale skin with equally pale long wavy white hair, a small red diamond shaped tattoo on her forehead and warm brown eyes.
Height 5’ 10”
Age: unknown (appears to be about 25-30 years old)

Victoria is the daughter of Dr. Nathaniel Essex, a brilliant biologist and geneticist, Mr. Sinister is also immortal -- granting him a unique perspective on human evolution. Using the genetic material he garnered from various sources he created his “daughter” Victoria. All that is known about Victoria’s “parentage” is the little bit of information she was able to get from her father… Her genetic makeup includes that of Mr. Sinister, X-Man- Nate Grey, Jean Grey and several other “Alpha” class mutants that are unknown to her.
Her powers mimic those of her father. She is able to alter her appearance and shape by molecular manipulation along with her father’s ability to phase, appearing and disappearing as he sees fit, she has an accelerated healing factor…along with being a powerful telekinetic, she has telepathic power. Victoria main power however, is the enormous responsibility of being the last ties to earth that the Phoenix Force has. She hears it’s voice in her mind and has the ability to call upon it and ask it’s aid. Having been a host of sorts for the Phoenix since childhood, she has gained firm control over the cosmic power. Victoria’s powers at one point, used on a high level resulted in severe headaches and nosebleeds. However, during an Atlantis mission, she tried introducing Atlantean DNA to her system to slow the hemophilia she suffered and nearly bled to death in the process, with the quick thinking of Beast and Sage, her team mate, Scott Summers was able to save her life by a blood transfusion. That transfusion gave Victoria and Scott a unique bond, much like the mental link she shares with Beast.

It is unknown how Victoria ages, being as her father is immortal…her aging rate is seemingly slower than that of most normal beings.

Victoria carries a grudge against Sinister. The very mention of his name leaves a distasteful feeling in her mouth. Not knowing anything about her “father’s” alter ego, Victoria grew up loving him, even when he sent her to live with Piotr and Kitty Rasputin. He disappeared from her life for a long time. Piotr warily watched Victoria grow up, fearing she would turn into Sinister. Victoria and Piotr’s father/daughter relationship is strained at best.
When Sinister reappeared later in her life, it was then she found out the horrific truth of who he really was, and the evils he had created, along with her.
Being hunted her whole life by the psychopath known as Gambit didn’t help matters much either. But as Gambit’s age began to take it’s toll on him, he hired the mercenary known as Deadpool to hunt down Victoria and finish the job. Wade, having found out Victoria was Ms. August in his “College Babes Bare it All issue” couldn’t find it in his heart or wallet to axe the cutie. She he began hanging around tormenting her...and eventually the two became friends.

Victoria’s only consolation during her childhood was her best friend Belle, who was murdered by Gambit, her secret crush Franklin Richards…who went mad the first time he saw Victoria in full blown mutant form, and her Godfather, Dr. Henry McCoy, who also died at an old age, by Gambit’s hand.
Victoria’s college lab partner and good friend Peter Parker harbored the secret of her mutant form for many years, keeping close to her side. Victoria graduated from Empire State University with a degree in Genetics and Bioscience.

Recently, Victoria has discovered Sinister’s true reason for creating her…not to be his daughter, but to be his equal, his mate. After a shock to her system, memories of physical abuse at Sinister’s hands came to the surface and sent Victoria into a catatonic state, causing yet another of her powers to appear that mimicked his, an glowing pink energy sword, produced when her anger and fear were at peak levels.
Victoria’s one consolation to all the hardships she’s endured, is that even though she’s so far from home, and has no care about going back, she’s found a life with a team, and a love in an alternate reality version of Hank McCoy.

--------------------CHARACTER #2--------------------
Name: Kara Zor-El
Age: 20
Alias: Kara Kent, Kara Zorel, SuperGirl
Hair: Blonde
Eyes: Blue
Height: 5'8"

History: When the planet Krypton exploded, its smaller neighbor planet, Argos, was thrown out of its rotation and sent flying into space. Fortunately Argos's top scientist convinced the people of Argos that Krypton's destruction was at hand, and together they managed to construct a force field that maintained the gravity and atmosphere of their planet. For sixteen years the residents of Argos survived. In time Argos's force field began to fail, and, sensing the end of their world, the scientist placed Kara's family into cryo-tubes to preserve them until help could arrive. Kara, however, was the only one to survive.
When Kara’s ship/cryo-tube crash landed on Earth, she was found by her cousin, Kal-El, known as Superman/Clark Kent, and his friend Batman. Kal-El introduced Kara to his adoptive parents, Jonathan and Martha Kent, who took her in and helped her adjust to life on Earth. Kara was not very happy with farm live and longed to be out in the world, doing the things that Batman, Kal and the Justice League were doing. Soon after her 16th birthday, Kara joined a team of young individuals known as the Teen Titans.
She has a fun loving attitude, is a little cocky and very independent. But Kara also knows when it’s time to put the playful demeanor aside and be serious.
With Kara, Kal has always had a living link to his alien heritage, and someone he could talk to about his dual lives as Superman and Clark Kent. Kara has full access to Superman’s domain, the Fortress of Solitude. However, she spends most of her time in Gotham City with Batman, who has taken her under his wing even though he mistrusted her at first. Kara has been having a relationship with Dick Grayson, known to the world as Nightwing for about 2 years now. After she attended Gotham State University where she earned a degree in photography and marketing, she landed a job doing PR work for Wayne Industries. She thinks it’s mainly so Batman/Bruce Wayne, can keep a closer eye on her.

Powers: Because Argosians and Kryptonians sprang from a common humanoid ancestor millions of years before, Kara’s powers closely parallel Superman's.
She has the ability of flight, super strength, heat vision and super-hearing, but is a bit more resistant to Kryptonite than her cousin Kal is. Also, because Kara is relatively young, her powers are not quite that strong. Her powers are derived from Earth’s yellow sun, where as Krypton and Argos rotated around a red sun.

"The Beast"

Real name: Henry "Hank" Peter McCoy
Occupation: (current) Adventurer, (former) Biochemist
Identity: Publicly known
Legal status: Citizen of the United States with no criminal record
Other aliases: None
Place of birth: Dunfee, Illinois
Marital status: Single
Known relatives: Norton (father), Edna (mother), Robert (uncle)
Group affiliation: (former)X-Men, Defenders
Extent of education: Ph.D. in Biochemistry
Base of operations: Mobile; (former) Xavier Institute, Salem Center, Westchester County, New York State; Defenders Mansion, Colorado;

History: Henry McCoy's father, Norton, worked at a nuclear power plant where he was exposed to massive amounts of radiation during an accident. Norton was unharmed, but the radiation affected his genes, and as a result his son Henry was born a mutant. Unlike most superhuman mutants, Henry showed signs of mutation from birth: unusually large hands and feet. As he grew older, he also showed increasingly pronounced agility, strength, and speed. Henry became a star football player as a teenager. His remarkable athletic abilities which seemed to border on the superhuman attracted the notice of both Professor Charles Xavier, who was forming his original X-Men. He joined the X-Men, taking the code name "Beast." A brilliant student, Hank completed his doctoral studies under Xavier's tutelage, and finally left the X-Men and Xavier's school to travel a little and live a normal life for a while. After spending several months travelling, Hank returned to New York, taking up a position within the Brand Corporation.

It was at during this time that he was kidnapped, along with Walter Langowski and Hank Pym by Dr Doom, and forced to aid him in the creation of a device to syphon of the vast stores of energy within the planet devouring alien entity known as Galactus, whom he had tricked into coming to earth by duplicating the signal of his herald. Unfortunately before Doom could enact his scheme Galactus was been driven back by the Fantastic Four with aid from his former herald the Silver Surfer. Angered beyond belief by the interference of the Richards clan and the Surfer, Doom altered his plan determining to rob the Surfer of his cosmic energy. Tricking the gleaming alien into his castle, Doom imprisons him within the device and begins the transfer. All appears to be going well when the control panel for the device explodes, allowing the Surfer's energy to surge into Doom unchecked causing his very being to disassemble as the energy sought the swiftest way to return to it's true host. With Doom seemingly destroyed, the Surfer made light work of Doom's guards and freed the captured scientists. Despite their participation in the attack upon him, he had shown no ill will towards them, indeed going so far as to return them to the places from which had been kidnapped weeks earlier.

Returning to New York, Hank struggled to come to terms with what he had been involved in. Although he had been a prisoner, he felt he should have been able to do something to stop Doom. After several tortured weeks trying to return to his life as a company scientist, Hank finally decided he could not ignore his mutant abilities, and the responsibilities that came with them, while others like Doom sought dominance over the world. He planned to return to the X-Men but a chance encounter with Dr Stephen Strange and his Defenders led him down a different path. Seeing a chance to do some good and perhaps mold the team into a more formal structure, Hank petitioned and was accepted for membership. Hank continued to study of course, this time however he took advantage of the knowledge of Dr Strange to learn more about the mystical and how it could be used to affect the physical body. After a short time his former X-Men cohorts Angel and Iceman joined the Defenders alongside him, together with stalwart members The Hulk and Valkyrie. The team bonded well, a mix of youth and experience. During their many adventures he grew closer to Brunhilde, their relationship moving from team mates and friendship to love. Shortly after Warren and Bobby joined them, the Defenders were called upon to aid in a search for Reed Richard who had disappeared. The search led them to another encounter with Doom, although much changed from the last time they had met, having taken over the teenage body of Franklin Richards. Aided by some Latverian rebels, the team, along with the Invisible Woman, the Thing and the Human Torch managed to enter Latveria and the Castle of Doom itself. A pitched battle ensued between the rebels and Dooms robot army, during which they were able to retrieve the injured Reed and reunite the Fantastic Four. Their joy was short lived however as Doom/Franklin escaped depriving the Richards' of their son. Hank promised that he and the Defenders would be ready to aid them in recovering Franklin should they discover his whereabouts. The group of weary heroes returned to New York and the Baxter Building, where Reed replaced their damaged costumes with more durable ones constructed from unstable molecules, which would prove much more durable. The team took their leave, allowing their grieving friends time to themselves to come to terms with their loss., and headed back to their mountain hideaway in Colorado, Dr Strange's New York mansion currently being off limits due to demon infestation.

Unfortunately their journey home was interrupted once more, this time by an encounter with Crusher Creel, the Absorbing Man. After a brief battle, they continued homeward, taking the subdued Absorbing Man along. Arriving in Colorado, Hank took it upon himself to try and find a cure for Creel's situation. Valkyrie returned to Asgard and obtained a sample of the same herbs used by Loki to give Creel his powers initially. Developing a serum he believed would cure Creel, Hank was preparing to inject Creel when he broke loose. As Hulk and Hank struggled to subdue Creel once more, Hulk tripped causing Hank to accidently inject himself with the serum. The serum interacted with Hank's mutant gene and the ambient Gamma radiation from the Hulk causing radical physical changes. If he could have looked at it dispassionately he would have been fascinated. His skin turned green and he grew fur over his entire body, his ears became larger and pointed, and his canine teeth became larger, resembling fangs. The serum also further increased his superhuman agility, endurance, speed, and strength. However from Hank's perspective, all he could remember was the feeling of intense pain throughout his body as though his skeleton was being twisted and turned inside out. This was accompanied by screaming agony as his skin stretched to accomodate his new shape, muscles growing burning with energy. Hank struggled to his feet, assaulted by a million needles bursting from inside him. He screamed in pain, and animal sound.. no longer human. Looking down at his hands, they were not his hands. These monsterous hairy green clawed things were not his hands. Unable to stand the pain any longer he lashed out, his clawed fingers raking the walls and floor. His snout twitched, catching scents familiar in flavour but unfamiliar in their intensity. He squinted through the pain, trying to make sense of the blurred shapes milling around him. He felt enclosed. Trapped. Caged. Had to go. Get Out. Get Outside. Leaping forward he crashed into two of the shapes nearest to him. They made unintelligible sounds at him. The first one he picked up and flung behind him with surprising ease, as though he was lighter than he should be. He 'felt' the whump and pleasing crack as the body crumpled against the wall. He was startled by a burning cold. The other shadow, it was doing this. Hank bulldozed forward despite the freezing pain, catching his opponent sharply in the chest with his shoulder, crushing him against the far wall of the room. The shadow coughed and spluttered, sinking to the floor clutching it's chest. The cold stopped. Hank paused and looked around for a way out. Three other shapes were moving about in the room, but they seemed to be ignoring him. Sniffing the air, Hank leaped over the fallen body and crashed through the half open door, bounding down the corridor to freedom. He remembered his breath catching in the back of his throat, his voice becoming a gutteral scratching roar as he disappeared into the woods surrounding the mansion. Driven over the edge by the pain of his transformation and his changed appearance, the figures Hank had turned on were his fellow Defenders. In his attack he left Warren and Bobby badly injured, leaving Valkyrie and Hulk alone to subdue Creel.

Some month's later, at the request of Brunhilde who had been called back to Asgard by Odin and had unable to search for Hank herself meantime, Charles Xavier managed to track down Hank using Cerebra. They found Hank living in the deep in the forest, now a beast in visage as well as name. He had regained much of what he once was but was subject to sudden animalistic rages, and had totally blacked out the events leading up to his present situation. Deciding to relocate back to the Institute, Hank and Brunhilde parted ways, as much because Hank couldn't trust himself not to hurt her even more than he had already when he disappeared. With Charles' help he was finally able to come to terms with his transformation and his actions. His first encounter with Bobby and Warren, who had in his time away also returned to the school, was uncomfortable to say the least but their friendship was a long one and this turned into just a minor bump in the road. When not working with the Professor on his condition, Hank busied himself around the school, helping select the latest batch of children to join the school and taking the time to enhance some of the school's and x-men's systems. After several months, Hank was just beginning to find his place in the world again when he was whisked off from the Institute and thrust into a whirlwind of fractured alternate realities. This wasn't a totally new experience to him, but in the past the journey had usually been his choice. This time it seemed that should he not do his level best to make sure these realities moved on in a particular direction, his own world would cease to be. It was during this time he met and fell in love with Victoria Essex, another time tossed refugee. His mutation also took another turn, causing him to become a hulking brute of great strength. With time he learned he was able to control this transformation, becoming the brute at will. Just as they were recovering from their latest mission when they were abruptly whisked away yet again - but where to this time?

Height: (Beast) 5 ft. 11 in. (Brute) 9ft.+ approx.
Weight: (Beast) 355 lbs. (Brute) 900lbs approx.
Eyes: (originally) Blue/Black, (currently) Yellow/Gold
Hair: (originally) Dark Brown/Black, (currently) Green
Other distinguishing features: Covered with fur, unusually large hands and feet, pointed ears, fang-like teeth

Powers: In his 'Beast' form Hank has superhuman strength, agility, endurance, speed and dexterity. He is strong enough to lift (press) 4,000 pounds. His legs are powerful enough to enable him to leap 30 feet high in a standing high jump, and 50 feet in a standing broad jump. He is able to crawl up brick walls by wedging his fingers and toes into the smallest cracks and applying a vise-like grip on them. He has enough power to smash through a eight-inch thick oaken door with a single blow or tie a six-inch solid steel bar into a knot. He has the agility of a great ape and the acrobatic prowess of the most accomplished circus aerialist and acrobat. Ha can walk a tightrope or a slack rope as easily as most people can walk on a sidewalk. He can walk on his hands for many hours, or perform a complicated sequence of gymnastic stunts such as flips, rolls, and springs. He can easily match or top any Olympic record at gymnastics apparatus (such as flying rings, climbing ropes, horizontal bars, trampolines). Further, his manual and pedal dexterity is so great that he can write using both hands at once or tie knots in rope with his toes. The Beast is quite fast, able to run on all four at approximately 40 miles per hour for short sprints. His stamina is approximately quadruple that of a well-trained athlete in his prime. His physiology is durable enough to permit him to take a six-story fall without a broken bone or stain (providing he lands on his feet). At the time of his further mutation into his present furry form, his metabolism underwent a period of accelerated change. As a side effect, he was able to metabolize and recover from penetration wound to his body within a matter of minutes. Since then, his body's metabolism has stabilized and he no longer has quite such a rapid recovery rate. He is still able to recover from most wounds within a few hours. When transformed into his more brutish form, Hank's body gains an incredible amount of muscle and bone tissue, which cause his speed and strength to increase almost exponentially. He has proven able to lift upwards of 80 tons and leap upwards of 1 kilometer. Hank has enhanced animalistic senses which give him greater sensitivity to his surroundings.

Equipment:
Uniform: Created by Reed Richard from unstable molecules, the uniform will conform to the wearers body irrespective of the size changes. It will also react to the wearers mental commands of sufficient strength becoming clothing suitable for most occasions. At present Hank most often wears it as a two piece, consisting of Jacket and pants. The pants have pockets on the thighs and the jacket has several small internal pockets inside.

Spectacles: Hank's spectacles no longer act to correct his minor eyesight problem, but he continues to wear them as a source of stability in his life. He has had them upgrade to accomplish other more useful tasks. Optical Capabilities: Video Capture - Up to two minutes of streaming video may be stored in the glasses memory. Video Link - The tech-glasses may be linked to one another, allowing the wearer to effectively see through another set of eyes. This capability is limited to a 50 metre range. X-Ray - The glasses are capable of biological x-rays, although they may not be used to see through things such as walls. Heat Readout - The glasses may be used to view ambient temperature differences in nearby objects. Bio-Scan - The glasses are capable of minor medical scans such as heart rate and brainwave activity. Energy Scan - Certain types of energy signatures may be detected through the glasses. Audio Capabilities: The glasses may be used to transmit video signals at a range of 50 metres. They may transmit audio signals up to 1 mile using their built in antenna. Or, they may be used over longer distances using existing satellite carrier waves (this function will be left up to the GM...a dice roll will be required for this function.) The glasses may also be used to pick up existing radio signals such as police band, AM/FM and other similar signals. But, this ability is limited to GM approval. Storage: The glasses may store up to 2 minutes of video footage or up to 1 megabyte of text data. It will be left up to the GM's discretion as to when your storage capacity has been met. By combining various functions of the glasses it is possible to create custom displays and functions such as a tactical heads up display.

Image Inducer: Device invented independently by Hank while he was at the Institute. It creates a solid holographic matrix which allows him to pass as a normal human.
Pocket PC: Hank carries a battered old Pocket PC which has gotten him out of several tight squeezes in the past. He usually keeps this in his thigh pocket.
Other Items: Small silver case containing lock of golden Hair and a picture of 'Toria as a child sitting on her Hank McCoy's knee. Small Atlantean Tool Kit. Water Bottle, Pack of Cards

--------------------Character #2--------------------

Name: Alex Elder, Crimson
Height: 5 ft. 4 in.
Build: Athletic
Eyes: Blue (Golden when in vampiric state)
Hair: Blue/Black
Other Features: Enlarged Canines and claws
Occupation: Teenager, Vampire, Chosen One.
Base: New York

BRIEF HISTORY
Alex Elder was an ordinary New York teenager; he was a good student and runner, had a good relationship with his parents and a pretty girlfriend. However, shortly after his 16th birthday he started to get low marks and was axed from the running team. He began to suffer from almost constant mood changes which began to drive a wedge between him and his family. After having a major fight with his parents and telling his girlfriend Julie Ryder to go away, Alex and his friends were driving through Central Park at two in the morning, when their car was surrounded by a gang. As the teens tried to make their escape they were attacked viciously by the gang who Alex later found out were the Jelly Bats, the bloodiest vampire gang in the city. Alex's friends were massacred after only getting a short distance from their abandoned vehicle, but Alex due to his track ability managed to almost get away before one of the vampires, a street acting woman named Rose caught up to him and sank her teeth into his neck. However before she could complete her kill, she was prevented by a strange man-like creature hovering a short distance above her. The stranger, Ekimus drove the gang off and retrieving Alex's almost lifeless body, carried him off to the abandoned church which he had been his home for many years. As Alex drifted in a semi conscious haze between life and death Ekimus cared for him, feeding Alex his own blood to keep him alive and push the metamorphosis which was underway beyond it's usual conclusion point. After a month in Ekimus care, Alex finally regained full concsiousness and surprised to find himself alive, refused to believe Ekimus assertation that he had become a vampire, and not just any vampire, but that Alex is the Chosen One, the final stage of vampire evolution. Rushing away from Ekimus, Alex pushed open the large church doors and was instantly felled by the searing pain as the sunlight outside touched his body. Still not willing to really believe what Ekimus had to say, Alex waited until nightfall and left the church to seek his own answers. Although a friendly vampire named Joe tried to take Alex under his wing, Alex wanted no part of the vampire world and ran home, only to realize that a month had really gone by and his picture was on missing posters all over the city. Going up the fire escape of his parents' apartment to look in on his little sister, he had to fight a sudden urge for blood was almost too great to resist. Pushing himself off the fire escape he ran off into the night screaming for blood but not wanting to get it the way he has to.

Eventually found and returned to Ekimus care, Alex finally accepted his vampirism, although he was still unsure about the whole 'Chosen One' title he had been landed with. Spending his time equally with both Ekimus and Joe, Alex eventually learned that Ekimus was one of the first beings to inhabit the earth. Ekimus was actually the last of an ancient race known as the Grigori, created by God in the beginning to be his children. The Grigori however were seduced by the angel Lucifer in an attempted coup on Heaven. After a battle which ripped Heaven asunder, Lucifer was cast down, and the Grigori punished for their transgressions. Ekimus set out into the outside world to seek his own redemption.Older than Adam and Eve, Ekimus was the first vampire. In ancient times he encountered a beautiful woman Lisseth, herself cast from God's favour when she was rejected as Adam's mate in the Garden of Eden, who stole the secrets of the vampire from him becoming the vampire queen, perverting his nature into a dark predator of the night. Appalled at the race they had spawned, Ekimus has devoted himself since that time to trying to stop Lisseth at every turn with the aid of the chosen ones. After going through dozens of perspective vampires he finally found Alex Elder, the boy who he believed could finally turn the tide of the war by destroying the vampire queen. Together with Ekimus, Joe, the reincarnated St. George and a mysterious young woman called Scarlet, and a fallen angel named Zauriel, Alex eventually battled his way to victory, although not without suffering their own losses.

Just over two years have passed since that day and Alex is now technically almost 19, although his body refuses to age beyond 16 which a constant annoyance to him. He has spent his time battling the other supernatural forces which prey on humans, along with Ekimus who still seeks a way to redeem himself in the eyes of the Lord. With Ekimus' continued instruction, Alex is now better able to control his evolved powers. He has fine tuned his pyrokinetic (firecasting) and telekinetic (flight and moving objects) powers to such a degree using them now requires little or no concentration. He has also learned to tolerate sunlight to a certain degree, especially in the early morning/ late evening and can even move about in the daytime when there is heavy cloud cover although it causes him discomfort. Other times when he has to move about during the day he has to ensure his entire body is covered. His long coat has an enchantment which keeps the interior refrigerated (Alex feels neither heat nor cold but the refrigeration helps Alex move about more comfortable in the day time). He still manages to survive without resorting to killing humans for blood, thanks to Ekimus' contacts at a local blood bank, although if needs must he will resort to drinking the blood of lower animals.

Powers:
Enhanced Strength, Speed & Agility
Pyrokinesis
Telekinesis (Which allows him the power of flight)
Razor Sharp Extendable Claws on each finger.

Clothes & Equipment
Black Leather Bodysuit, matching gloves and boots. The suit is distinctive in that it is covered in large metal buckles.
Tanned Leather Hooded LongCoat (Within the coats refrigerated interior are several pockets in which Alex stores spare blood packets and sunblock)
Long Grigorian crimson Silk Scarf decorated with symbol for eternity.

--------------------Character #1--------------------
Name: Sage
Real Name: Tessa Niles
Appearance: Long black hair, pale ivory skin, and dark blue eyes. Athletic looking, but still slim, she also has black markings underneath her eyes.
Height: 5’7”
Age: 23
Powers: Tessa is a mutant who possesses low-level telepathic powers strong enough to read minds and communicate with others. Tessa also possesses a computer-like memory, able to store vast amounts of information and recall it almost instantly.

History:
Tessa Niles grew up in a small village in Bosnia until she was 15 years of age, her family moved to the States to escape the wars in their own country and give Tessa a better chance at a future. When they moved she also changed her first name and family name to something decidedly more American. When her family had successfully settled into life in New York City a 16 year old Tessa was contacted by Charles Xavier with a request to infiltrate the Hellfire Club to spy on its leader Sebastian Shaw, though she did not originally accept the offer, weighing the pro and cons of the situation she contacted Xavier 1 year later accepting his request.

Tessa spent more than 5 years with the Hellfire Club, working at first as Shaw’s assistant and counselor, but soon into her ‘mission’ she overthrew the current Black Queen, Selene and became the new Black Queen of the Hellfire Club at the young age of 18. She met Betsy Braddock during her reign and warned the other mutant away, saying it was dangerous to Xavier’s plan. Though in reality she saw Braddock as a threat to her title, knowing that Telepaths were always preferred in the Inner Circle, and Betsy was clearly much stronger than she was. She also knew her alliance with the White Queen; powerful as Emma Frost was could not secure her status forever. She also knew her hold on Shaw would not last forever, and therefore constantly analyzing ways to keep herself at the top.

She broke ties with Xavier, proving to him that sending a youth into such a situation was incredibly stupid ploy to keep the Club from doing what it may. Though to her own despair the Hellfire Club was disbanded for lack of better terms when she was 21 and she was forced to find something else to occupy her time. Earning a degree as a lawyer in less than a couple months she was quickly grabbed up by a high power law firm; working in the firm for the better part of a year, she had quickly made a name for herself in the social circles of the lawyers and enjoyed that life. Until she was called on by Emma Frost one afternoon, her former mentor was now running an academy for young mutants with other X-men as her colleagues. Emma requested she come to the Mansion with her to speak with Professor Xavier, whom needed to speak to the young woman urgently.

Against her better judgment Tessa accompanied Emma to Westchester, with thoughts that Xavier may be exacting some form of punishment on her for betraying him. But to her surprise the Professor requested she return to help Storm and her team of mutants find something called Destiny’s Diaries. She declined the offer, apologized for her previous dealings and requested a teaching position instead; Tessa was given the opportunity to teach a class on Mutant/Human dealings, though they were good now it was always helpful for young mutants to know the history between the two races. She taught at the school for a span of one school year, until she was taken from her timeline and set with a group of reality hoppers; so far she has experienced just a few missions with the group, but she has taken well to the change from teacher to a hero of sorts.

--------------------Character #2--------------------
Name: Batgirl
Real Name: Francesca ‘Franki’ Lind Grayson
Appearance: Tall and athletic looking. She has inherited her father’s black hair and blue eyes.
Height: 6’0”
Age: 25
Powers: None to speak of. But she is physically trained in gymnastics, acrobatics, and martial arts. She also has firearm training.

History: Franki is the daughter of Barbara and Dick Grayson; she grew up in Gotham City at one of the worst points in its history. Crime had gotten incredibly high, even with the presence of the many masked vigilante’s in the city it seemed that the police and masked crusaders were outnumbered. Life in Gotham wasn’t ever normal, the police force was overworked and the streets were never safe for civilians, many times her parents had played with the thought of moving Franki and her brother Garrett to Keystone City to live with Dick’s friend Wally West and his wife Linda; but in the end they could never get the headstrong little girl to agree to leaving; she was too connected to the city, as derelict as it was and to the family that would remain there.

Since she was young Franki seemed to have a morbid interest in the inter-workings of crimes, why they happened, and how the authorities would figure them out. It spurred her into studying forensic science at GCU, one of the few places in the city not taken over by crime lords; she graduated top of her class. Franki has since been working with the GCPD in their CSI division, one of the few women that still venture into law enforcement in the city. Her father had quite a bit to do with her acceptance into the force, since he was (and still is) Gotham City's police chief; though because of this she is constantly trying to prove herself, a habit that she’s always felt in her over-achieving family and extended family…a good majority of her relations are superheroes, so she has a tendency to feel inadequate.

Recently she has been coerced into taking up the title of Batgirl as the previous Batgirl, Cassandra Cain, gave up the title and Gotham City's need for one of its most influential crime fighters couldn't be higher. Franki is now sidekick to the current Batman, Tim Drake, who is currently without a Robin.

Powers: A perpetual metamorph, she sheds her skin to reveal a layer of a different material, such as steel or diamond, underneath (some of these forms bring extra abilities such as flight or super speed). Each change lasts for up to an hour and the removal of the new material reveals normal skin once again. Any injuries sustained while husked, remain upon return to ordinary form. Paige should only be able to husk into forms that equal her own body mass. However, she has twice husked into smaller, animal forms. It is theorized that the mass left over from these transformations is moved into an unknown space and returns when she takes on her original form once again.

History: Paige Guthrie grew up in Cumberland Kentucky with her large family. When she found out that her brother, Sam ("Cannonball"), was a mutant, Paige became extremely jealous of the attention he was getting from their parents (Even if it was negative attention.) So upon trying to out do her brother she went in search of how to make her mutation appear (Which she knew she just had to have.) She did this to no avail until (She spent months trying to force her powers to appear), completely frustrated, Paige screamed that she'd tear her skin off if she didn't find her mutation soon. After screaming till her heart was content Paige pulled her hands apart revealing a new form underneath her peeling skin. She’d finally managed to find the mutation (As weird and slightly disgusting as it was); this was at the age of 13 that they finally appeared.
Paige has since then been avoiding letting herself be known as a mutant for many years, not wanting to be viewed as an outcast in her family like Sam and Elisabeth (Both of whom her family had disowned when their mutations showed up). So instead she opted to further her education over seas in England where she would be far enough away from her family that there wouldn’t be any possibility of them finding out about her mutation. While out partying with the ‘in’ crowd at her boarding school Paige met Jonothan ‘Chamber’ Starsmore . She soon fell head over heels for him; he was the guitarist in a band that played on campus at Paige’s boarding school pretty often. Their relationship didn’t go very far at the time because Paige tried her very best to hide her mutation, and her current boyfriend Tristan Brawn had become rather possessive towards Paige. Her relationship was short lived with Tristan, about a year after she’d arrived in England her older brother Sam showed up to visit her, and soon after Paige confided in him that she was a mutant. Sam soon leaked Paige’s secret to Professor Xavier who found Paige’s mutation interesting and thought that it’d be best if she began studying at Xavier’s School for gifted youngsters. Paige didn’t accept the invite right off the bat, she was still holding onto the little pieces of normalcy she had in her life. After many months of fretting over her choices, Paige finally accepted the invitation and moved back to the United States to attend Xavier’s school. She began having her ups and downs at the school, constantly being looked at as Cannonball’s younger sister. She fought long and hard to come out from underneath her brother’s shadow, and upon the creation of Generation X she finally had her outlet to show people she was just as good, or better then her brother. Receiving the codename ‘Husk’ she finally let go of the last normalcy in her life, and came to terms with her mutation and the course it’d set her life on. A few weeks after Generation X was formed a new face showed up in the form of an old love; Jonothan ‘Chamber’ Starsmore became the newest member of Generation X. While with Generation X Paige become even more independent and self-confident. Along with that, her feelings for Chamber became even more apparent, and his for her. Though again they were both parted as Generation X broke apart and Paige returned home with the intention of becoming an environmental activist in the Northwest while Jonothan moved back to London.
After a few months of living a ‘normal’ life again ( She’s now around the age of 18 ), back to pretending her mutation wasn’t there. Paige was invited to join Banshee’s X-Corps, and herself and Jonothan soon met up again. They began to work out their feelings, both admitting to liking the other. When this agency closed Paige chose to move to London with Chamber, and a few months later the two announced their engagement. Paige had begun her environmental work again in London, being very gung-ho about it all. Herself and Chamber had gone back to living a normal life, and were rather content with that. After a six-month engagement Paige and Jonothan tied the knot. Their happy little ‘normal’ life was disrupted again when Paige and Jonothan both received letters inviting them to join the X-men and Paige feeling as if this might finally give her the last little shove she needed to get out from underneath Sam’s shadow she began to beg and plead with Jonothan to take the invitation and if they realized that being apart of a team didn’t suit them anymore they would pack their bags and move back to England. Two months into their little stint Paige was moved from her own timeline and joined a time traveling team in which she did one mission with, that mission having had a great effect on the young girl she was unsure as to if she would just plead for them to allow her to step back into her timeline and forget that any of it had ever happened. Unexpectedly though Paige was thrown into another ‘mission’ and enlisted to help out a group that was going by the name ‘The Watch’.

Current Team: None, she’s more a thief then a do-gooder.

Powers: Her sonic Canary cry, and Dinah is quiet talented when it comes to martial arts.

History: Dinah was the only child of Larry Lance and Diana/Dinah Lance. When she was only about a year old her parents were both killed in a car accident, leaving instructions that if they were ever to pass away that Norman Osborn was her legal guardian. Norman at the time was a close friend to Larry Lance. So the little girl was brought into the Osborn home and raised as if she was his daughter, though Dinah doesn’t know much of what it his her father’s company does. But it’s not like she’d be too shocked with the information if she was to find out, being she’s a bit of a thief and usually runs on the wrong side of the law. Known among most New York police officers as the thief who preys on other thieves, Dinah has gained herself a reputation in New York and has even had a run in or two with the city’s beloved Spider-man. Living life as the daughter of one of New York’s wealthiest men hasn’t been a hard one for Dinah. The young girl grew up with all the finery of life and at all the best schools all the while delighting in getting under big brother Harry’s skin. After all why would god give her a big brother if she wasn’t supposed to drive him nuts. Dinah’s energy was unstoppable and thus her ‘father’ thought up ways to keep the young girl busy, such as placing her in every self-defense and martial arts class that he could find.

Dinah didn’t object to any of this because it kept her busy and she could now easily take down all the boys in her class. Her teenage years went on like this, she spent a lot of her time at school in detention and when she wasn’t in detention she was busy trying to figure out a way to get out of the school without her teachers or classmates noticing. Often she’d pull a fire alarm and race off of the grounds before anyone even noticed that the little raven haired trouble maker had even done anything. By the time Dinah was 16 she’d pissed off ever boarding school in New York state and thus Norman Osborn was forced to place his troublemaker of a daughter into public school were she still caused as much trouble, but the staff wasn’t as easy to fool or so easily swayed with money.

Dinah didn’t mind the change of venue for her little stunts, nor did she mind spending most of her time in detention still. After all Harry was the perfect child, she was the black sheep of the family so to speak, which when it comes to the Osborn family it takes a lot to become the black sheep. Dinah, or Osborn as she’d taken to calling herself by the age of 17, was spending most of her nights on the streets stealing other thieves stuff and basically upsetting the social standings of the thieves by being the first to steal from them. It was by this time that Dinah had met her brother’s best friend Peter Parker and started to grow some kind of odd attachment to him. It wasn’t as if the tough as nails girl really wanted to go all weak in the knees and giggling when Peter was around, but something inside of her was attracted to the air of mystery that seemed to follow the science nerd around. Of course if Dinah had figured out that Peter Parker was Spider-man she would never had pursued a relationship with him. But something kept on bringing the edgy teenager back to him, so Dinah pursued him and finally got Peter to agree to spending some time with her under the guise that she needed help in science (Which actually wasn’t a lie).

Im her senior year of High school Dinah dropped out, finally giving up on school all together. Which at the time upset her on again off again boyfriend Peter, who knew that the rebellious young girl was bright and could have gone far. But the restless spirit in Dinah just couldn’t keep her interested in school any longer and she began focusing all her attention on taking from other thieves and giving it back to those it belonged to, she was New York’s very own messed up Robin Hood. When Dinah was twenty years old Spider-man killed Norman Osborn and Dinah became fairly depressed over this and made it her own personal agenda to make Spider-man’s life a living hell. Though soon after her ‘father’s’ death it was revealed to her that Norman wasn’t her father at all and that her own parents had been killed in a car accident when she was a baby. At that same time Dinah found out that her mother had been Gotham City’s very own Black Canary and thus took up the name and began the work her mother had started (Which wasn’t too different from what she’d been doing.) Going to their grave sites with Peter one day Dinah was overcome with frustration and screamed as loud as she could, but instead of a scream what came out of her was more like a sonic canary cry and thus she realized that the name Black Canary fit her far better then she’d ever thought. Soon after that realization Dinah parted ways with everyone she knew back in New York and moved to a small apartment in Gotham City, where she started anew as Black Canary. Keeping contact with only Harry, she found out a year later that her teenager love Peter Parker had married Mary Jane Watson, which hadn’t been a big surprise to Dinah since she’d always thought those two would make a good match. After all Peter wasn’t really the rebellious type and Dinah would never be able to settle down. Thus the petite thief has been living a solitary life in Gotham City, though a certain masked bowman has caught her attention. Oliver Queen soon became Dinah, or Osborn as he calls her, confidant and closest friend and has somehow managed to get the free spirit of a girl to settle down a bit. Though she’s vowed never to give up her life as a thief. It was planned on her twenty first birthday Dinah’s life was thrown into a tailspin when she was pulled from her reality by Dr. Steven Strange and asked to join a team called ‘The Watch’.

Height: 5' 10"
Weight: 165 lbs
Eyes: Blue
Hair: Dark brown
Age: 24
Other traits: Numerous scars cover Peter's body, reminders of the battles he has fought.
Costume: 2099 Spider-Man
Current Occupation(s): Freedom Fighter
Former Occupation(s): Govt. Lackey/Test Subject
Place of Birth: Queens, New York
Martial Status: Widowed, currently single
Usual Base of Operations: New York
Current Group Membership: The Resistance

Powers: Peter has the ability to lift up to 10 tons under normal conditions but when placed under high amounts of stress or anger, his strength level can double and sometimes triple that of his normal limitations. However, this fluctuation of strength is not a controlled factor and only occurs under the most extreme situations. Peter also has a heightened level of stamina and resistance to injury. Peter can instinctively adjust his body weight and the position of his limbs allowing him to maintain a perfect equilibrium on any object, no matter how small or narrow. His reflexes are forty times faster than that of a normal human being and he is incredibly agile. He can leap up to five stories vertically or a city block horizontally. Peter also has the power to stick to almost any surface. When Peter is sticking to a surface, the bond between them is inseparable. Peter cannot be pried from his chosen spot without taking some of the surface with him. However, this only applies while Peter is conscience. While he is unconscious or asleep he cannot stick to surfaces. Peter also possesses a sixth sense, or 'spider sense’, which warns him of danger before it occurs. The more imminent and deadly the danger, the stronger the buzz. It also acts as a mini radar, guiding Peter away from potential dangers. Peter uses this feat as a tracking device as well, letting his sense guide him to the source of the threat. However, Peter cannot always figure out the exact nature of the threat he is being warned of. From his wrists Peter can project web like strands. He has learned to mold this webbing into different forms such as coats or a parachute and can fire multiple types of webbing, such as spray, strand, or impact. The webbing is also sticky on all sides and an inch of it can hold the Thing hostage. Peter's final feat is that he can intentionally loose his limbs like some spiders and grow them back later. The growing process can take anywhere from fifteen minutes to over an hour depending on how large the limb.

Skills: Peter has spent long hours working on becoming less dependant on his spider sense, training himself to operate manually instead of on instinct. Peter knows how to heal and tend to small wounds, i.e. removing bullets, mending slashes and cuts from a blade. Peter has also had training in stealth tactics and hand to hand combat.

Weapons: Peter wears a utility belt that contains a mini flashlight on it front and bears several compartments. Peter has created spider tracers, which are small spider shaped devices that he can stick on a desired target and then follow it with his spider sense. He has also created stingers, which are miniature sized darts that are sharp enough to pierce through normal clothing and embed themselves into a person's skin. Once they've done so, they inject a strong toxin into the person's blood stream, which is designed to slow the person's movements and reflexes. Both the stingers and spider tracers are contained in his belt.

Other possessions: Peter also owns his father's rosary as well as a photo of his deceased wife, Natasha. Both of these are kept inside his belt.

History: Peter grew up in an America led by President Osborn where, due to past events, mutants were treated like the plague. Any mutant found was captured (if possible) and sent to one of three locations; Weapon X facilities, where they were turned into weapons of war, Department H, where they were probed and experimented on, or one of the many death camps located in the American deserts. Still engulfed with hatred for the loss they had suffered due to mutant terrorist attacks, most of the American public supported this treatment of mutants and encouraged it to be taken to high extents.

Peter however, was raised by parents who were against such acts. Richard and May Parker raised their only son to obtain a very moral and Catholic lifestyle. They supported confrences and protests against the mutant injustice. Yet, due to the government that they lived under, they could not be as outspoken as they would have liked, and for fear of what may happen to them and their son, they restrained themselves from becoming a radical.

For the most part, life for Peter was pretty normal. He went to school, played with his friends, and participated in events that every homo sapien child did. Yet at the age of ten all that changed.

Cerebro, a device used by S.H.I.E.L.D. to find and locate mutants, had detected the X Gene within young Peter Parker. By law, he was to be taken into the custody of the United States Government for the rest of his natural life, and when Peter's parents protested, they were killed.

Under the instruction of Nick Fury, Peter was taken to a special branch of Weapon X for mutants of his age. There he was physically abused as the staff of the facility worked on making his powers trained and developed. For ten years he remained under the ownership of Weapon X, being trained in the various fields of combat as well as being able to harness and control his powers. But Osborn did not want his mutant warriors to be able to turn against him, and so as they rigorously trained his body and his powers, they slowly deteriorated his mind, forcing him to the brink of insanity. The final piece to ensure that he remained a mindless slave as a small microchip that was to be place in his brain, rendering him completely under their control.

Yet before such a device could be set in place, Peter, as well as many others, was freed by the Resitance, a band of humans and mutants that fought for mutant rights. Under their care and guidance, Peter recovered from the abuses that he had endured, and vowed to help them with their cause as a way of repayment.

During his time with the Resistance, Peter met and fell in love with Natasha a.k.a. the Black Widow. Their love for each other blossomed and soon they were married. But such happiness was not meant to last.

On August 18, Peter's best friend and ally Bobby Drake, betrayed the Resistance to Steve Rogers and his fighting force from S.H.I.E.L.D. Captain America and his troops attacked the unprepared Resistance full force. After many hours of battle, Peter and the others were able to make a narrow escape. Their escape was not without cost however, as many were slaughtered and killed, including Peter's wife Natasha. Her death has driven Peter even farther, making him that more determined to continue fighting for what he and many others believe is right.

However, this shield's extension is limited to a four-foot radius and becomes a burdening strain on his mind if used for long periods of time. To keep it from the sight of prying eyes, a small door connected to the front of the frame that be flipped open in order to reveal what lies behind it.

History: Alex Willington was left at a small New York orphanage at the age of ten with his brother Thomas Willington, who had recently turned five, upon the disappearance of their parents. A curious neighbor had entered the Willington home after getting suspicious of the absence of James' parents. The neighbor was shocked to find the house in shambles and the parents gone. What surprised her more, however, was the sight of Alex caring for his brother to the best of his abilities. Alerting the proper authorities immediately, the Willington brothers were escorted to the orphanage where they were to stay until they were adopted. It was at this early age and during this traumatic experience that Alex's powers began to surface. The young boy had already begun to mature beyond his age, acting as the responsible guardian of his younger brother. On several occasions, families had wanted to adopt Alex, catching the early signs of is growing intellect, but Alex refused, saying that he would not leave until both he and his brother left together. Acts such as that made Alex his brother's idol. Thomas would forever look up to his brother with unyielding respect and love.
Several months had past and the Willington brothers still found themselves homeless. But their luck was about to change. Wilson Fisk, the wealthy owner of Fisk Corporations and entrepreneur, and his wife Vanessa came to deliver a hefty check to the orphanage as a way to boost his public image. It was then that Alex made his move. Alex did everything he could to win Mr. Fisk and his wife over in order that they might adopt them, even going so far as to challenge Wilson Fisk to a chess game, Alex's favorite pastime at the orphanage. Though Wilson Fisk beat Alex in his favorite game, he was by the young boys level of intelligence and, with slight nagging from Vanessa, adopted the Howlet brothers. Alex and Thomas had finally gotten a home and Mr. Fisk had gotten an heir.
But good fortune did not seem to stay long with the brothers. Though Thomas was spared the harsh teachings of Mr. Fisk, Alex was not so lucky. For the next year, Wilson Fisk began to instruct and teach Alex in the way of business relentlessly, hiring the best tutors and making the young boy work long hours into the night. Fisk was determined to mold this orphan into the perfect son and perfect heir for his company.
Then things went from bad to worse. Vanessa Fisk had accidentally learned of her husband’s dealings with the underworld, a profession he had many times denied to her. Vanessa soon came to realize that her lovely children would be trained to carry on Wilson's position as the Kingpin of Crime. Not bearing to cope with the fact that her sons would become such monsters, Vanessa Fisk committed suicide, and she did so infront of the eyes of Alexander Willington Fisk. Seeing such a horrific sight sent Alex's powers on overdrive, overloading his brain and causing him to black out.
When he came to, he soon discovered that his adoptive father had sunk into a depressive state. The loss of his beloved wife devastated him, causing his confidence to crumble. His ties with the underworld loosened and his rivals noticed the change. The mighty Kingpin of Crime was loosing it. Wilson soon turned his depression to anger blaming Alex and Thomas for the loss of his wife and his loss of power both in the crime world and in his business. He began to beat them almost at random. To save his brother from having to endure the abuse, Alex would purposely enrage his adoptive father so that his wrath would be focused on him.
On one fateful day however, the board of executives made their move. They were ready to over throw Wilson Fisk and take ownership of Fisk Corporations. But to do so, they would need one of the brothers, since only an heir could legally control the corporation. They headed for the office, preparing to deliver Fisk the news and dispose of him. However, Alex got their first to find his 'father' preparing to attack his brother. Alex intercepted the blows, putting himself between his brother and Mr. Fisk. And then he snapped. The collective anger from his parents disappearance, the death of his adoptive mother, the pain of his brother, and the abuse of his 'father' finally became too much. In one decisive moment, Alex's powers erupted, and Wilson Fisk found himself being launched through his office window and falling 96 stories to his death. The members of the board arrived in time to witness the act. Finding it too risky to leave the mutant child alive, they decided to take Alex out to a deserted region where he would meet an 'accident'.
Alex and his brother ran from the board of directors and Alex was able to have enough time to promise his brother that he would come back for him before he was finally caught. The board members had their lackeys drive Alex out of town and away from any civilization to be 'taken care of.' Luckily for Alex though, his powers made their second appearance, allowing him to escape his captors and run off into the distance. Believing that he was as good as dead, the lackeys returned to their boss and reported that the job was done.
Alex continued to wander aimlessly. At the peak of his exhaustion, Alex collapsed in the middle of nowhere, finding himself on the brink of death. But fate seemed to have other plans for Alex than death, for he was discovered and nourished back to health by a man named Matt Murdock. The blind martial artist looked after Alex as and taught him in the way of martial arts as well as helping him to control and master his gifts. During his time with the blind fighter, Alex took on the name Gambit, finding the meaning of the name to be suitable for him.
After three years under the wing of Matt Murdock, Alex set off to travel the U.S. taking with him only what was necessary. Deciding that it was best to keep a low profile and wanting to break his ties with his abusive father, Alex changed his name to Logan. For the next four years, Alex would wander across the nation, meeting several new teachers along the way and learning their lessons in combat to perfection. He also received training in computers and security systems from Tom Hardy a.k.a. the Black Cat. Tom's daughter Felicia, who was training to take on the mantle of the Black Cat, had grown to like Logan and even developed a crush on the young man. Her affections were never returned.
Finally, at the age of 18, Logan fulfilled his promise to his little brother. He returned and after a heated battle, reclaimed his brother and the company. After which Logan quickly moved to make the company his own, breaking the ties Fisk Corporations had with both the criminal underworld and the military. He transformed Fisk Corporations from a manufacturer of weapons of war, to the largest producer of computers and technological devices in the world. He also had a department of the company specialize in children toys and entertainment. Several amusement parks were underway of being built, and many schools and playgrounds were receiving large donations to be renovated.
Yet such acts concealed did not mean that Logan had become a jolly-hearted fellow. Quite the opposite. Having regained his empire, Logan came to the belief that the only person that mattered was himself and his brother. He began to working harder and expanding both his empire and his powers. While proponents would describe Logan as serious, driven, and mature beyond his years, critics would decry that his intense focus makes him greedy, selfish, and power-hungry. Logan continued to work towards the growth of Fisk Corporations while at the same time mastering his powers and the numerous forms of combat.
Such change in Logan and the Corporation did not go unnoticed. Several attempts were made by crime lords and military officials to end Logan's life, hoping to restore Fisk Corporations to the greatness it used to know. Even Richard Fisk, a man claiming to be the true heir of Wilson Fisk, tried to take control of the company away from Logan. All attempts failed, and those who tried were punished severely.
Learning of the special gifts Logan bore, he was approached on many different occasions by such teams as the X-Men and the Avengers, each tried to recruit him for their cause. Each one found itself being told where the door was. Logan informed them that he had more important things to do that to parade around the city and play superhero. Thus, Logan has only aided the two teams and other heroes when it serves his purpose or something of his, such as his brother, is at risk.
For the next several years, Logan has continued oversee the unyielding growth of his power. He has long since mastered his own mutant abilities as well as almost every major form of combat on the planet. He looks to find ways to increase the expansion of his power, and he thinks that with the Watch, he will do just that.

Character Name: The Cloak

Real Name: None
Occupation: None
Identity: None
Legal Status: None
Former Aliases: Tyrone Johnson
Place of Birth: South Boston, Massachusetts
Marital Status: Single
Known Relatives: (parents' full names unknown)

History:
Tyrone Johnson was a 17-year-old high school student who lived in a lower income area in South Boston. He was successful in his studies despite the difficulties presented by his disability, a stammer that he sometimes found impossible to control. His best friend was a schoolmate named Billy, who encouraged him in his struggles. One day Tyrone and Billy were walking by a neighborhood store when two thieves burst out from it. A man working in the store pursued them to the doorway, only to be shot dead by one of the thieves. The thieves ran out of sight, and Billy told Tyrone they had better leave as well. Billy began to run, but just then a policeman arrived and ordered him to stop. Tyrone tried to explain that Billy was innocent, but his nervous stammer prevented him from getting the words out. Billy continued to run, and the policeman, thinking he was the thief, fatally shot him. Johnson was overcome with guilt over his inability to prevent Billy's death, and feared that the police would come after him as well. So Johnson became a runaway, and boarded a bus for New York City.

Johnson arrived at Manhattan's Port Authority Bus Terminal penniless. He spotted another teenage runaway, Tandy Bowen, and was about to rob her when another person snatched her purse. Johnson tackled the thief and returned Bowen's purse. In reward, Bowen bought Johnson some food at a nearby restaurant and they talked about why they had become runaways. They decided that night that for them to survive in New York that they would need to stick together, and thus agreed to until such a time that they could survive on their own. Tandy found a job as a waitress at a small dinner making barely enough money to keep her and Tyrone off the streets, while he on the other hand had no such luck finind employment. In an effort to help out Tandy Tyrone began making money the only other way he could think of. Johnson, while not a natural criminal took up purse snatching and petty burglary, trying to find some means of income to keep a roof over their heads and food on their plates.

Tandy knew about Johnson's chosen profession from the start, voicing her disapproval at her first opportunity. But Tyrone would not be swayed, instead telling her that it was the only was he could supplement her wages enough for them to stay out of the cold. This carried on for several months, him leaving for the night while she asked him not to. But as the weeks wore on, her requests slowly diminished until finally she asked if she could join him. They both new that the jobs he was pulling had quickly become their principle source of income, and Tandy felt that with both of them out in the night they might actually be able to afford a better place to live. Johnson of course wanted to keep her away from such a life, but over time she was able to persuade him.

Two months after they had begun working together Tandy came home one morning talking about an incredible score she'd heard of. A shipment of diamonds and rubies were supposed to be coming into the docks the following night, and she'd heard that the "owner" of the gems had arranged for security to be lax to allow his men easy access to them once they arrived. She proposed that if they left that moment, and camped out the night that they might be able to steal something from one of the other freighters while the guards were "given the night off". Tyrone was wary of the plan, but he had always found it hard to say no to Tandy. She had become his friend over a year ago and had never once finished one of his sentences or made fun of his stammer. So he agreed. They would make use of this window of opportunity to further themselves, and make sure to steer clear of the gems as they didn't want any problems of that particular nature.

Upon their arrival, they snuck into a warehouse not too far from the pier. Security was indeed lax and Tandy's plan seemed without flaw. But it was the warehouse they picked to sneak into that would prove to be their undoing. They entered silently, creeping along the shadows as they listened to a raspy voice recite an archaic mantra over and over again. As they rounded a corner they found the source. A pentagram had been drawn on the floor in a red substance whose name they dared not guess. Candles stood lit at certain points of the floor, some inside the pentagram, some without. At it's very center a figure stood cloaked in a red hood and cape, the slender pair of hands protruding from it twisted into some sort of tantric design. They watched in silence for a moment until an unfortunate rat startled them prompting the hooded figure to turn it's attention towards them. In an instant the figure vanished, only to appear behind them a heartbeat later. They tried to flee but the figure seemed to be everywhere at once. Disappearing and reappearing as if it was toying with them. But the fun quickly came to a stop as it cornered Tandy, her scream echoing throughout the warehouse, bringing Johnson rushing to her aid. He saw them across the pentagram, the ominous figure slowing closing in on a fallen Tandy, her eyes and face locked in a look of terror as the figure glided ever closer.

Without thinking Tyrone dashed across the pentagram, sweeping up one of the stands upon which a candle was perched. He made no sound as he swung, the heavy brass of his makeshift bludgeon impacting with the figure's head with a sickening crunch as he made contact. It fell noiselessly, vanishing into midair as it did. But this time not all of it vanished as there upon the floor, laying where the figure once stood, were the hooded cloak, a pair of ornate boots, and a dagger. Tyrone grabbed for Tandy and yanked her to her feet, having every intention of taking her out of the warehouse and back home, over his shoulder if need be. But her eyes were fixated on the spoils. Even as he tried to pull her towards the door she pulled him towards what was left behind, claiming that they couldn't just leave empty handed and that such things might be worth something. He was stronger than she was but she managed to slip from his grasp just long enough to grab up the cloak and dagger before he could once again seize her and pull her towards the door. She fought with him again, wanting to go back for the boots, but he firmly cried no, pulling the cloak from her hand as he drug her across the pentagram and out of the warehouse.
He tucked the cloak within his shirt as they fled, Tandy tucking the dagger into her belt. They ran the entire way home, not once looking back or even speaking, not until they were safely behind their door. They stood and looked at each other in silence a while before words were muttered, a decision made to sleep the night before trying to sell what little they'd lifted from the remains of that....thing. Rest dis not come quickly to Tyrone, and when it did it was short and fretful. His mind was racked with horrible nightmares before he was awakened by a agitated Tandy. She quickly related her story of how she'd been sitting in her room holding the dagger, when suddenly she was in his room. She claimed she vaguely remembered standing up and walking in, but it had all happened so fast that she was unsure if she'd actually done so. Still excited, she had Tyrone retrieve the cloak he'd taken from her and try it on to see what it could do.

Still unable to deny her, he indulged her wishes, trying the red hooded cloak. However he was unable to do anything with it. It did not grant him Tandy's newfound speed, nor did it allow him any sort of superstrength or supernatural ability. Slightly frustrated he threw it down, allowing Tandy to try it on to see if she could unlock its magics. Three hours later neither had been able to accomplish anything with it, causing Tandy to suggest that Tyrone could always use it as a Halloween costume. She draped it upon him once more, but as she did a knock came from the front door followed by a voice proclaiming to be the NYC police department. They froze in place looking at the door unsure of what to do, but when Tandy turned to look at her friend....he was gone. Her hands had remained upon him the entire time and she could feel him standing there, but he was gone. She stepped back in shock and awe. Tyrone, seeing the look on her face when to ask her what was wrong and he reappeared.

The knocks at the door became harder. The police were forcing their way in. They had to escape. Tandy, thinking that their newfound powers could not only get them out of their current situation, but could also be the solution to their problems told Tyrone to meet her at the warehouse. She wanted to get her hand on the boots and see what they could do. In the next instant she was gone, a light blonde streak shimmering in the air as she made her way out the window and down the fire escape in the span of a few seconds. As he tried to figure out how he'd vanished, the cops came bursting in thru the door and he froze again. Three officers came pouring into the small apartment, but none of them seemed to know he was there. He'd become invisible again, but how? It wasn't until his lungs began to burn that he realized he'd been holding his breath. That must have been it. He held out for as long as he could, hoping they would leave, but they would not. Instead they began to start searching the apartment. Tyrone made his way towards the door as quickly as he could, but halfway there was forced to exhale suddenly as his lungs felt as if they would burst.

He reappeared in front of two very frightened officers only to vanish a split second later, nothing but the sound of his footsteps barreling down the hall giving any hint that he was even there. Nearly an hour later he found himself back in the warehouse from the night before. As he stood at the edge of the pentagram he drew back his hood and looked about for Tandy, seeing no reason why she, with her newfound speed, wouldn't be there yet. As he pulled up his hood and prepared to turn and leave, he was tackled from behind. Or was it...above? He rolled over onto his back to look up into the dazzling blue eyes of his friend and partner, her cheeks pulled back in a wide smile as she lay upon him. "The boots let you fly." she told him, the bewildered look on his face telling the tale of his confusion. But before either of them could get off the floor they found themselves surrounded by Jack O' Lantern, Constrictor, Madam Rapier, the Sandman, and Shocker, each taking a position at one of the points of the pentagram.. The person they'd killed the night before was supposed to be making the warehouse a safe place for the gems Tandy had heard about, but because Tyrone had killed him before he could complete his ritual, they would have to wait until another suitable magi could finish the job. And waiting was not something their employer cared for.

Tandy tried to escape, but before she could reach the dagger, Constrictor had her in his grasp. And as Tyrone tried to vanish, Shocker hit him with a blast that left him gasping for air, unable to hold his breath. They both knew that they were about to be punished for what had happened, and Madam Rapier saw to it that they were. As Sandman and Constrictor held them tightly, Madam Rapier slit both their throats in one fluid motion with the tip of her blade, their soon to be lifeless bodies dropped to the floor. "Leave them with their 'trophies'," she said as she led the others away, the will of one Dennis Golembuski having been carried out in full. Tandy and Tyrone lay dying there in the center of the floor, he still in the hooded cloak, she still with the dagger tucked into her belt, and with their last ounces of strength reached out to grasp one another's hand. But the mystical artifacts which they still possessed, plus their blood filling the empty spots on the pentacle interacted, and their deaths would not come as expected. Dark magics mixed and crossed, unleashing the latent mystical energies in Bowen and Johnson, but at a great cost.

Tandy had become one with the dagger, her life essence amplified a thousand times over by the power she had inside. Her light caused the dagger to lengthen and take on a more elegant design, it's material brightening to resemble the finest of polished Ivories. Tyrone became bound with the cloak, and his life essence was drained away. The darkness that remained twisted the cloth into a black effigy of it's former self, the warm fabric now becoming cool to the touch. Even in their new forms it did not take long for them to realize that they still needed one another. He was dying, and she was without motion. She was bursting with life, and somehow he was still able to move. She called to him somehow, beckoning him to take her into his folds, and he responded by doing so, pulling her light warmth into the cold darkness that he'd become. They existed like this for some time, the cloak acting as the body while the dagger served as the soul, but there came a time when they could no longer be together, as Tandy's brilliant light threatened to overcome and destroy Tyrone. But alas, he would not abandon her, the only one he'd truly loved. Even in death he was willing to give his life for her, and would have had it not been for a woman named Jennifer Kale. Naturally gifted in magics she'd felt their presence and had tracked them down by Tandy's essence.

It was when she tried to take Tandy from him and Tyrone attacked her that he discovered what he was capable of. When he'd come in contact with her he'd seen into her mind, as if she were there walking about in the shadows. And he also discovered that he could feed off the light of others and that Tandy wasn't his only source of sustenance. Tandy, not wanting to see either party hurt, convinced Tyrone to let Jennifer take her. He was adamant about the idea, until he came in contact with her a second time. He was once again trying to protect his dagger, only to discover that he didn't have to. For when he'd caught a glimpse of Jennifer's mind, she'd caught a glimpse of his. They remained this way for a while, Tandy in Jennifer's grip, Jennifer in Tyrone's, all three communicating as one. She agreed to take the both of them and to help them in any way she could, and somehow knowing she was telling the truth....with her they went.

Height: Variable (usually around 5' 9").
Weight: 3 lbs.
Eyes: None
Hair: None

Strength Level: Minimal (around 5 pounds)

Known Powers:
On it's own, The Cloak can manipulate itself in a variety of ways. It can render itself intangible, mold itself into the effigy of a person wearing a hooded cape, and can access a "dark dimension" within which it can teleport itself and others from one point of the Earth's surface to another. In theory there is no limit to the distance it can teleport, but as any action it takes of this nature consumes energy, teleporting more than 3 miles at one time would either severely drain it of it's reserves or kill it outright. The Cloak can also use itself to manipulate small things in the environment, such as light switches, pencils and pens, and doorknobs. However because it has no muscles of it own, nor a steady supply of energy to use, it is unable to move or manipulate things of heavier weight.

When worn by another, and thus able to sustain itself off of it's host's life force, The Cloak allows it's wearer access to it's teleportation powers. The distance which can be traveled is now linked directly to the life essence of the wearer, as those with a stronger lifeforce will be able to teleport themselves and others much further than The Cloak could on it's own. The strength level of The Cloak increases as well when it is worn by another, allowing it a strength of approximately one half of it's wearer. Another ability it obtains while worn is the capability to render it's wearer invisible to most forms of detection. However, this power is also linked to the wearer as the wearer will only become invisible, and remain so, for as long as they can hold their breath. It can also mold itself to resemble different articles of clothing such as a suit and tie, pair of jeans and a shirt, or an extravagant gown, though any shape it takes retains the same black color.

Whether worn or unworn The Cloak craves the life energy of things as it has none of it's own. When unworn it has been known to siphon these energies out of people in order to sustain itself, usually leaving the victim feeling tired and weak, though in some extreme cases, unconscious or even in a coma. While being worn The Cloak shares the life energy of it's wearer, leaving the one wearing it feeling little to no effect of the Cloak's presence. However, the Cloak still hungers for the life energy it needs to survive on it's own, and will often try to convince it's wearer to siphon such energies from other persons so it can store them for later consumption. It does this by means of low level telepathy which is only available to it when it is in direct contact with someone.

History:
Usagi Yojimbo was born in the town of Sendai Japan, where his father was the local magistrate. At a very young age he was sent to study and train at the Dogora fencing school, where over the years he devoted himself to the study of swordplay. His accension through the ranks of his school was slow and tedious, littered with many defeats and set backs, though each only served to strengthen his resolve and inform him of his short comings and mistakes. Night and day, day and night, he would devote himself to overcoming his failings and becoming more and more in tune with the warrior spirit that lay within. And even though he became quite the accomplished swordsman, he knew he could become better.

When he was but 20, he bore witness to several of his peers and superiors at the school being defeated by a Sensei Katsuichi who worked for a local Lord training his warriors. Seeing the skill and beauty with which this Sensei weilded a blade Miyamoto choose to study under him as instead of continuing at the Dogora school. Unfortunately Katsuichi did not believe Miyamoto to be worthy of his time and dismissed the boy, instead testing some of the other warriors who were still Miyamoto's better. Day after day Miyamoto pleaded with Katsuichi but to no avail until on the fifth day, the last day Katsuichi would be at the Dogora school, Katsuichi agreed to let Miyamoto study under him under young condition. That the young warrior defeat, or at the very least impress him, in a duel.

Before Miyamoto even had a chance to answer the elder Swordsman he was under attack, his sword having been drawn out of reflex alone. The barrage was feirce and relentless, and he was only barely able to deflect the brunt of the attacks, never once hazarding a counterstrike of his own. When questioned about this by Sensei Katsuichi, mid fight mind you, Miyamoto said it would foolish for him to engage in a fight he knew he had no chance of winning. Much to Miyamoto's surprise this halted the attacks almost instantaneously. Opening the eyes he had not ever realized he'd shut, he was treated to the vision of Kutsuichi sheathing his blade, looking at him with a curious eye. His answer seemed to impress Kutsuichi, who even went so far to say so. Miyamoto's answer, the elder warrior said, contained a subtle wisdom that was the core of the warrior's code as opposed to the unrelenting thirst to be the best that seemed to plague his other classmates. It was from that moment on that Miyamoto began his studies under Sensei Kutsuichi. Studies that would later prove to be the cornerstone of his life.

At the conclusion of his first year with his new Sensei, Miyamoto was sent deep into the forrest to seek out a bladesmith whom he had never heard before. One who was said to be able to give Miyamoto what he would need to become the Samurai he'd always wanted to become. It took the young warrior nearly a month to find this bladesmith, and after finding him it was another eight months before he finally returned to Sensei Kutsuichi. During those eight months Miyamoto engaged in a new type of study, learning not how to be a warrior and use a blade, but instead how to become and be a blade. It was under the wing of this bladesmith that Miyamoto learned the true power behind the swords he had weilded all these years. They were more than weapons. Even more than an extension of himself. They were alive. Things not to be used, but lives of their own, which had to be respected. The night before he would return to Sensei Kutsuichi Miyamoto gave birth to a blade of his own, crafted with his own two hands. In was in that moment, as the steel cooled in the brisk night air, the moonlight glinting of the edges of the blade and his own eyes staring back at him from it's reflective surface that he understood. The blade had life because he gave it life. Because he didn't merely craft a tool, but because he poured a little of his heart and soul into it in order to bring it into this world. It was then that he became Samurai.

After a few more years of study under this new Sensei, Miyamoto officially became a Samurai and went into the service of the Benevolent and Honourable Lord Mifune. It was in this station that Miyamoto served loyally for many years, gaining much reknown and respect as a Samurai until one fateful day when Lord Mifune was struck down during the Battle of Adachi Plain, leaving Miyamoto masterless as the Tokugawa era began. Now a Lordless Samurai in a time when being a Samurai is outlawed, he turned his skills into a profession, becoming a bodyguard to merchants and weary travellers and the like. But while his new profession would afford him enough income to maintain himself, he could not let it be known that Miyamoto was now wandering the land protecting simple traders and travelers. To allow such news to travel would undoubtedly bring bounty hunters and glory seekers after him, thus endangering the innocents he was trying to protect. Instead of letting such things come to pass he adopted a new name. The name of Usagi Yojimbo, and continues to uphold the virtues of justice and honour, helping the weak and protecting the innocent whenever he is able.

Real Name: Unknown
Code Name: Rogue
From: Caldecott County Mississippi
Age: 25
Hair Color: Long curly chestnut hair with a thin white streak on either temple
Eye Color: Bright Green
Height: 5'8"
Weight: 120 lbs.
Family: Mystique (unofficial foster mother), Nightcrawler (foster mother’s son)
Current Team: X-Men
Previous Team: (former) Brotherhood of Evil Mutants III

Powers Rogue possesses the superhuman ability to absorb the memories, knowledge, talents, personality, and physical abilities (whether superhuman or not) of another human being (or members of some sentient alien races) through physical contact of her skin with the skin of the other person. (Sometimes she also duplicates in herself outward physical characteristics of her victim.) The victim's abilities and memories are absorbed for a time sixty times longer than the amount of time Rogue was in physical contact with that person. The victim loses his or her abilities and memories for exactly the length of time that Rogue possesses them. Due to unknown factors Rogue has permanently absorbed the powers of Mr. Fantastic, the Invisible Woman, Thing, and the Human Torch (the Fantastic Four).

History: Rogue's real name and the identities of her parents still remain unknown. She grew up in Caldecott County, Mississippi near the banks of the Mississippi River. Early in her teens Rogue discovered her mutant powers when she kissed a boy named Cody Robbins. He fell unconscious and her mind was suddenly filled with his memories. She soon learned that she had the power to absorb the memories and abilities of other people by touching them, but she could not control this power.

The distraught Rogue found refuge with the mutant Mystique, who was like a second mother to her. When Rogue grew older she joined Mystique's terrorist organization, the third Brotherhood of Evil Mutants. In battle with the Fantastic Four, Rogue absorbed all of their memories and superhuman powers. But, for unknown reasons, Rogue unintentionally absorbed them permanently rather than, as usual, temporarily. Thus Rogue gained the powers of elasticity and Reed Richards’ intelligence, invisibility, control of flame, and a near invulnerable, rock hard exterior. Along with absorbing their powers, she also absorbed their memories. She is also left with the memory of destroying a family, which leaves her unable to use their powers to their fullest extent.
As a member of Mystique's Brotherhood, Rogue battled the X-Men, the Fantastic Four, the original Spider-Woman, the Dazzler, and Rom. But Rogue grew increasingly upset over her inability to control her absorption power and her anxiety over destroying a family. Unable to find help from the Brotherhood, Rogue turned to her enemies, the X-Men, instead. Convinced of her sincerity, Professor Xavier admitted her to the team, and she quickly proved herself a loyal member.

Except for some temporary absences, Rogue has remained a member of the X-Men ever since. She has never gained conscious control of her absorption power, and continues to work through her emotional baggage. Unable to find solace in the X-Men, she now finds herself wandering the world alone. Out of nowhere she finds herself sucked in and dropped off into a new reality with a group of strangers known as The Watch.

Real Name: Barry West
Former Alias: Kid Flash
Known Relatives: Wallace West (Flash III, father) Linda Park (mother), Iris West (Kid Flash III, sister), Rudolph and Mary West (grandparents), Barry Allen (Flash II, uncle, deceased)
Group Affiliation: Teen Titans IV
Known Friends and Allies: Kyle Rayner (Green Lantern MMMDCV), Jay Garrick (Flash I), Jesse Chambers (Jesse Quick), Richard Grayson (Batman III), Roy Harper (Red Arrow), Donna Troy (Troia), Garth (Tempest), Tim Drake (Red Robin), Connor Kent (Eradicator III), Cassie Sandsmark-Kent (The Wonder), Lian Harper (Red Hood), Dolphin, Ceridian, Tula (Aquagirl II), Vic Stone (Cyborg), Koriand’r (Starfire)

Height: 6'1
Weight: 175 lbs.
Eyes: Green
Hair: Brown
Appearance: Barry wears casual clothing, white sneakers, wide blue trousers and a white T-Shirt with a long-sleeved green shirt on top of it. On his right hand’s middle finger, he wears a Green Lantern ring which is completely depleted of energy and is thus useless, unless recharged. His red sunglasses are either hooked into his T-Shirt or to his trousers’ belt. Also by the side of his belt is a de-cel jumpline (shaped as Nightwing’s logo), but it is defunct.
Other Items: Within Barry’s backpack, he has an additional set of clothes (blue T-Shirt with the Superman logo, a pair of jeans, underwear and socks.) Unbeknownst to him, it also carries a Kid Flash costume, which is similar to the original worn by his father. To round it off, the backpack contains a JLA baseball cap, the ‘Buffy Gals’ Playboy special (starring Sarah Michelle Gellar, Charisma Carpenter, Alyson Hannigan, Emma Caulfield and Eliza Dushku) and a pack of customised cards (of the original Teen Titans).

Powers: Barry possesses super-speed and the ability to vibrate through objects. Barry's powers mirror those of his father, with one major exception: Barry also has the ability to remember everything he reads at super-speed.

History:
Barry West was born to Wallace ‘Wally’ West (commonly known as the Flash) and Linda Park, together with his twin sister Iris. Both were named into homage of the second Flash, Barry Allen and his wife Iris. It was in a battle with the latest Zoom, that the by then still unborn twins were almost killed, but were lucky to survive.

Barry grew up amongst a crowd of superheroes, living either in Titans Tower, the JLA satellite, or home in Keystone City. It was in his teens that Barry’s powers emerged, and proceeded to be taught in the use of those powers by a variety of speedsters. Most notable were Max Mercury, teaching Barry how to vibrate through objects without making them explode, and Jay Garrick (the original Flash), who discovered that Barry could remember anything he read at super-speed.

For his 15th birthday, Barry was given a Green Lantern ring by Kyle Rayner, although he made sure that it was completely depleted. When the villain Brother Blood attempted to steal both Barry’s ring and that of Green Arrow, Connor Hawke, the fourth team of Teen Titans was founded, although Barry would heavily deny his founder status later. This team consisted of the latest sidekicks/wards (Red Hood, Aquagirl II, Kid Flash(es)) like the original team was. For that first mission, Barry and his sister Iris shared the Kid Flash name, but after the defeat of Brother Blood, Barry revoked the name and his membership in the Teen Titans, not caring to continue his fathers legacy.

It would be Barry’s crush on Jesse Quick that brought him back to the team a few weeks later, once again serving as Kid Flash, in order for the team to beat the recently resurrected Wildebeest society. He would run with the team for the next few missions because of his sister’s illness and inability to participate in super heroics. During that time he fell in love with Lian Harper (Red Hood), although she did not return the feeling at the time.

When Lian was later captured by Onomatopoeia, Barry was the one to ultimately come to her rescue and when the kidnapping left Lian emotionally insecure, the two went on a road trip together throughout America. Over the time the two fell in love, but during the end of their journey they broke up and parted as good friends.

The two returned to find both the Green Arrow and Flash families in turmoil, and the youngsters were chastised for their lack of responsibility. Angered over his father’s inability to understand, he ran away from home, just as he was teleported to become a member of the Watch, and after his sister put a Kid Flash costume in his backpack just to spite him.

--------------------Character #2--------------------
Real Name: Warren Kenneth Worthington III
Alias: Angel, White King
Former Aliases: Avenging Angel
Place of Birth: Centerport, Long Island, New York
Marital Status: Single
Known Relatives: Warren Kenneth Worthington I (grandfather, deceased), Warren Kenneth Worthington II (father, deceased), Kathryn Worthington (mother, deceased)
Known Allies: Charles Xavier, Janet van Dyne (Wasp), Steve Rogers (Captain America), Thor, Wanda Maximoff (Scarlet Witch), Sebastian Shaw (Black King)
Enemies and Rivals: Bruce Banner (Hulk), Logan (Wolverine), Nick Fury, Pietro Maximoff (Quicksilver), Tony Stark (Iron Man)
Group Affiliation: Hellfire Club Inner Circle, Mutant Underground, The Ultimates

History:
While attending a prestigious East Coast boarding school, young Warren Kenneth Worthington III sprouted wings from his shoulder blades. At first easily concealed, the abnormal appendages reached full size within months. Initially alarmed, Warren soon grew to relish the freedom of flight. Still, he strapped the wings tightly to his back to avoid suspicion. Warren was forced into action when fire struck his dormitory. Donning a blond wig and long nightshirt to conceal his identity, he delivered the students inside from certain death - appearing as an angel to eyewitnesses.

Despite the obvious risks - exposure, loss of social standing, or even death - Warren would not be grounded. Shortly after saving his classmates, he took up life as a costumed vigilante in New York City. The nocturnal activities of this so-called "Avenging Angel" drew the attention of Nick Fury, director of S.H.I.E.L.D., who had started to recruit superhumans for his government team, the Ultimates. Accepting the offer, Warren (his codename being shortened to Angel) became one of the team’s founders, together with Captain America, Thor, Iron Man, Giant Man and Wasp.

After weeks of inactivity it seemed like the high-priced government team would end up fired, but (un)fortunately the Hulk went on a rampage throughout New York. The Ultimates were able to contain the Hulk and revert him to Bruce Banner, and the team was now publicly introduced as America’s greatest and only super team. The next threat to the group would be of a different nature however, as the domestic problems between Giant Man and the Wasp came to a head, and Giant Man ended up hitting his wife. With Wasp inactive and Giant Man having left both the Ultimates and New York, the Ultimates were left shorthanded.

There was also trouble for Warren himself, when the headquarters of his family’s company Worthington Industries was destroyed in the Hulk’s rampage, and the company was forced to sell itself to Stark Enterprises (Iron Man’s company), which led to some tension between Angel and Iron Man. Even with his family troubles, Angel accompanied Captain America to the Red Lion Pub in Chicago, Illinois, where the two confronted Giant Man on his beating of Wasp. The ensuing fight hit the news, and when rumors started to appear about Warren’s mutant heritage, Nick Fury was forced to fire Angel from the team, to avoid bad PR. Shortly after, Warren’s parents died, leaving Warren with a bit of inheritance money, and Warren ended up buying a low-key apartment in Los Angeles. Even his friends in the Ultimates decided to abandon him, leaving Warren in a perfect position to be approached by Charles Xavier, head of the Mutant Underground, a network of mutants hoping to ensure a world in which humans and mutants can live together.

Angel became a part of the Mutant Underground, and one of its main financial supporters. Slowly, with the help of the Mutant Underground, Warren started to rebuild Worthington Industries, as the Angel Corporation. Thanks to his family connections, Warren was able to ensure a place in the prestigious Hellfire Club, an elite group of powerful and wealthy people, and use this influence to restore the Worthington fortune. Eventually Warren was inducted into the Hellfire’s Club own elite group of insiders, known as the Inner Circle, where he was able to acquire the position of White King. Eventually Warren met old teammate Janet van Dyne (the Wasp) at one of the Hellfire Club parties, and the two rekindled their friendship. After this meeting, it was only a matter of time before Warren ran afoul of Tony Stark (the Iron Man) and the two ended up gambling, with Angel winning a bet that enabled him to buy back the Worthington Industries part of Stark Enterprises. Warren was now at the top of the game, his good name restored, as well as his family fortune and company, part of the highest social circle and with a great amount of influence in New York, while quietly sponsoring the Mutant Underground.

It didn’t take long before Angel was approached again by Nick Fury to rejoin the Ultimates, but Warren declined as a form of personal revenge. When personally requested by Janet van Dyne though, Warren was willing to return as the Angel. Soon, Angel started to clash though with some of his new teammates, namely Quicksilver and Wolverine, although he warmed up to new recruit Scarlet Witch (which was the foundation for his clash with Quicksilver). These confrontations ended with Warren’s second departure from the team, and while Angel flew away from the Ultimates HQ, he was approached by Dr. Stephen Strange to become a member of the Watch.

Height: 6'
Weight: 150 lbs
Eyes: Blue
Hair: Blonde
Outfit: Angel wears the uniform he used as a member of the Ultimates, a silver-colored Kevlar outfit, with black kneepads, elbow pads, boots and gauntlets. His gauntlets are adamantium enforced. Name: Silver Surfer
Real name : Norrin Radd

Appearance: Covered head to toe in a near invulnerable silver/chrome skin. Eyes are completely white unless he is using his cosmic awareness, and then they are dark pools of black with a star pattern in them. Completely devoid of any hair on his body (as is the custom for Zenn-Lavian Males.) 6 feet tall and weighs about 250 lbs.

Age: 49 (Zenn-Lavians age slower than Earthlings. On Earth he would be the equivelant of a 25 year old.)

Birthplace: The planet of Zenn-La (Jurai District)

Relatives: Shalla-Bal (Wife), Jartran Radd (Brother), both Parents deceased.

Origin: Norrin Radd was a simple scientist with dreams of life beyond the boundaries of his home planet Zenn-La. On the day Galactus the world devourer came to Zenn-La, Norrin offered his services to the God in exchange for his planet's safety. Galactus imbued Norrin with The Power Cosmic. This Norrin powers that allowed him superhuman strenght (able to lift 100 tons), and produce energy beams powerful enough to annhilate cities, but also subtle enough to restructure and rearrange molecules. He has "Cosmic Awareness" which he can use to detect energy patterns as well as have a slight precognitive ability. He was coated head to toe with a new Silver skin which renders him practically invulnerable to harm. He was now the SILVER SURFER (a childhood fantasy that Norrin once had.) As the Silver Surfer, Norrin posesses a surfboard which responds to his mental commands and is as indestructible as he is. His new task was to be Galactus' herald and seek out planets suitable for the devourer to consume.

He performed this task well, and enjoyed the freedom in which it gave him. His last mission as Galactus' herald was to a small planet called Earth. On this planet, the Surfer had come into contact with a blind sculptress named Alicia Masters who had convinced him of the sanctity of life, and that he had to help stop his master from snuffing the lives of billions of people. The Surfer joined forces with the Fantastic Four (a group of native super humans who were doing everything they could, but ultimately failing in their attempts to stop Galactus.) After a Drawn out battle, Galactus finally conceded due to his overwhelming hunger. He agreed to move on, but questioned the Surfer to ascertain the reason for his betrayal.

The Surfer explained his motives and begged to be free from his servitude. Galactus pondered the inquiry, but eventually granted Surfer's plea when another being stepped up and volunteered to take Surfer's place as Galactus' herald. This person was Johnny Storm, who was the youngest and most impetuous member of the Fantastic Four. Galactus accepted the offer, and imbued Johnny with the Power Cosmic as well. Johnny Storm was now reborn as the being now known as FIRELORD. As the Devourer and his new herald prepared to leave Earth, Galactus told Surfer that his betrayal and freedom did not come without a price. Galactus then placed his mighty palm above Surfer's head, and with a bright flash of light, erased Norrin's memories from his mind. He also erased the memories of what had just transpired from the remaining members of the Fantastic Four and teleported them back to their home.

Norrin was now wandering the alien streets of New York with no clue as to who he was, what he was doing, why no one looked like him, and above all else why this shiny plank was following him everywhere he went. One day, as he was walking and trying to piece together anything that might give him a clue as to who he was, when he came under attack by a group of humans who were screaming things like "MUTIE" and "FREAK." They were throwing things at him, so he instinctually ran from them. As he did so, he ran down a dead end alley only to find a large glowing white portal. From inside the portal came a voice saying "Come through the doorway, Norrin. You will be safe in here." Not having much of an alternative, Norrin stepped through, only to be greeted by none other than Dr. Strange...

Name: Iron Fist
Real Name: Daniel Thomas Rand-K'ai (known as Danny Rand in the United States)
Place of Birth: K'un-L'un
Known Relatives: Wendell Rand-K'ai (father, deceased) Heather Rand (mother, deceased)
Height: 5 ft. 11 in.
Weight: 175 lbs.
Eyes: Blue
Hair: Blond
Age: 29

Powers:
Through concentration iron Fist is able to summon his chi (a Chinese word for one's natural energy) to spiritually reinforce his normal abilities, raising them to the peak of human capability. This includes strength, speed, stamina, and concentration, as well as self healing ability and psychic rapport with others. By summoning his chi and focusing it into his hand, he can draw upon the superhuman energy derived from the heart of the mystic serpent Shou-Lao and make his fist inhumanly powerful and impervious to pain and injury. This "iron fist" technique does not involve a physical transformation of any kind, simply a psychic channeling of concentrated natural energy. With his fist in this state, Iron Fist can shatter wood and brick, steel, and punch his opponents with extraordinary concussive force without sustaining injury to himself. Iron Fist can also utilize the combination of his own chi and his superhuman energy to heal his own injuries or to cure his own illnesses. By projecting this energy into another person, he can heal that person.

History: Daniel Rand was the son of businessman Wendell Rand, who had once lived in the fabled city of K'un-L'un, which exists in an otherdimensional realm. Wendell Rand-K'ai, as he was known there was the eldest son and heir of Lord Tuan, who ruled K'un-L'un. However, Wendell was driven from K'un-L'un by his brother, who not only wanted to rule K'un-L'un himself, but who was Wendell's rival for the love of a woman named Shakirah. It was Wendell that Shakirah chose, and she bore him a daughter, Miranda. Wendell found refuge on Earth and became a successful businessman in the United States. In his absence, Tuan died and Wendell's brother succeeded him as Yu-Ti. Wendell married a woman named Heather, who bore him a son, Daniel.
Wendell sought to return to K'un-L'un, which ordinarily was only accessible from Earth through an interdimensional nexus that opened once every ten years. When Daniel was nine, his father traveled to Tibet along with Heather and his business partner Harold Meachum in search of the nexus to K'un-L'un. Toppling off a treacherous mountain passage, Daniel dragged his mother and father over the ice shelf with him. While he and his mother landed on a ledge below, his father dangled over the sheer drop of the mountainside and called to his partner for help. Hoping to take over Rand's share of the business, Meachum instead caused him to lose his grip and plunge to his death. Though Meachum offered to help Heather Rand and her son, they spurned him. Attempting to make it back to camp on their own, Heather and her son spied a long suspension bridge as a pack of wolves attacked. Heather tried to hold them off long enough for her son to get to safety and was killed in the effort.
Soon thereafter, denizens of K'un-L'un found the boy and took him to their city. There Daniel was brought before Yu-Ti, who had secretly plotted the Murder of both Wendell and Heather. Yu-Ti apprenticed Daniel to the martial arts master Lei Kung the Thunderer.
Rand's training under Lei Kung was rigorous. At age sixteen Rand earned the Crown of Fu-Hsi, king of the vipers, vanquished four foes in the ritualistic Challenge of the Many, and defeated Shu-Hu, a mechanical being whose name means "Lightning." Rand diligently conditioned his hands by thrusting them into tubs of hot sand, then gravel, and finally rock.
At age nineteen Rand was given the opportunity to gain the power of the Iron Fist. He was sent to battle the enormous fire-breathing serpent called Shou-Lao the Undying which lived in a cave outside the city and which ferociously guarded a brazier containing its heart, which had mystically been removed from its body. In their battle Rand grabbed the serpent's body, which bore a scar that imprinted itself upon Rand's chest. The Serpent retaliated, and snapped it's massive jaws at Danny. The Serpent's Lunge Severed Danny's Left arm. Amazingly, Danny persisted and ultimately killed the Serpent. Danny plunged his remaining Hand into the now unguarded brazier containing Shou-Lao's molten heart. When he was through, his hand shone with a quasi-mystical force and he earned the title "Iron Fist," for he could now summon superhuman energy to reinforce the power of blows struck by his hand. Danny left K'un-L'un upon it's next reappearance on Earth in order to seek out the man who inadvertantly killed both of his parents, Harold Meachum. Danny Eventually tracked down a much older Harold Meachum, and after having to fend off and fight many hired goons, was able to eventually make Meachum sign the business back over to it's rightful heir. Danny used his newfound fortune to have a new state-of-the-art metal prosthetic arm grafted to his body to replace the one that had been severred. This truly made Danny Rand into Iron Fist. The new arm was even better than he had expected, however. It posessed a strength and speed that exceeded peak human ability. He also found himself able to channel "the Iron Fist" through it. Danny's activities as Iron Fist had led him to become a crimefighter, and eventually he chose to devote his time to acting as the partner of Luke Cage, a.k.a. Power Man, in their firm Heroes for Hire, Inc. Through this firm Cage and Rand accepted jobs as special bodyguards or detectives. The two heroes formed a friendship as well as a partnership that would continue to hold strong for many years to come. Heroes for Hire, inc. eventually grew to a massive business which had offices in nearly every major city in America, and eventually, the world. Danny used his Father's fortune, as well as his K'un-L'un heritage to make his mark on the Earth. Heroes for Hire eventually annexed in such groups as the Fantastic Four, the X-Men, and even the Avengers. Crime was at an all time low all over the world, but Danny felt empty inside. He missed the old days when it was just Luke and him roughing up some common thugs to get some information about the crack house on the corner. He missed getting his hands dirty. He didn't want to have to fight people like Magneto, Ultron, or Dr. Doom on a daily basis. He longed for the days of old, and eventually signed over to one of his and Luke's good friends, Peter Parker. Danny figured Heroes for Hire would be in much more "responsible" hands if run by Peter. Luke and Peter continued to run H4H at Danny's request, and Danny set out on a soul searching mission. His travels eventually led him to the place where K'un-L'un was to appear. It had been aproximately 10 years since he had last been inside the mystical city. A large white portal appeared, and instead of K'un-L'un appearing, Danny was greeted by Dr. Strange. Stange told him that his services were direly required eleswhere, and requested that Danny follow him through the portal. Danny decided to follow Dr. Strange because this just might be the kind of fight that he had been itching for...
