Spider-Man: Out of the Frying Pan, Into the Fire - The Watch
Posted by: Spiderbob - 10-31-2004, 06:44 PM - Forum: The Bestseller Club - Shhh... - Replies (5)

Okay, this was inspired by Enchantress' story on Victoria (Thanks Chanty). So I thought I'd give it a whack and do a story for my Watch character, Spider-Man. I would have done it sooner, but I wanted to make sure my character actually survived before I started writing. woulda been bad if I'd already posted three chapters and then vampire Hank decapitated Peter.
*shudders*

Anyways, um to follow the rules.

Title: Spider-Man: Out of the Frying Pan, Into the Fire
Timeline: My Spidey Character in The Watch RPG, after the current chapter, when they all get to go home.
Rating: This is PG-13. There's violence and language, but there isn't buckets full of it, so... yeah...
Disclaimer: None of the characters used or mentioned in this story are owned by me, nor are they being used by me to make a profit. The characters used are alterations of characters from Marvel Comics, who I pray will humor a loyal fan and not sue.

I think that pretty much covers it. If I'm wrong or I missed something let me know and I'll add it in.

Okay. First chapter will come shortly.

Good news for all you X-Men fans!

In the most recent issue of X-men something wonderful appeared to happen. Some would say tragic, but I think it's a good thing.
Sammy the fish boy is officially ( I think ) dead. Or at least that's the way it looked and sounded at the end of the most recent X-men issue.
Now if we could just get rid of Beak, we would be in business!

  Painkiller Jane: The Movie
Posted by: The Mighty Thor - 10-27-2004, 03:00 AM - Forum: Moving Pictures... - Replies (3)

As reported by Comics Continuum...

Sci Fi Channel has greenlit a two-hour pilot for Painkiller Jane, based on the Event Comics character created by Jimmy Palmiotti and Joe Quesada.

"No casting news yet, but we are excited about the project," Palmiotti told The Continuum.

NBC Universal TV Studios will produce the project in association with MGM TV. John Harrison Don Opper and Greg Gold wrote and will executive produce the film.

Production is expected to begin by the end of the year.

Sci Fi's Mark Stern said to Variety: "She's a strong female superhero paradigm, not simply someone in spandex fighting crime. It's really the drama of a normal person who finds themselves with powers that they don't know what to do with or how to handle."

It's likely the Painkiller Jane pilot will air next summer.

  Vagabond Knights: Spanish Lands.

They had crossed the French borders three days before, and began making their way East and down the coast of Spain. The troupe was still days away from their final destination, but they were making good time, stopping in some of the smaller cities to rest, and take in the Spanish culture; Yalene in particular seemed to brighten as they steadily got closer to the Sea, the familiar waters that she loved.

Currently they were enjoying a week long Festival in the seashore city of Blanes, a welcome escape from the Spanish roads, and the hastily built evening camps. The sun was still hours from setting, but the evening’s festivities had begun, with what looked to be a celebration of the fisherman’s catch. In the town's main square a feast had been set up, and the meal of seafood was communal, take what you wanted and enjoy yourself.
