Yes, this is one kiddie who's been anxiously awaiting the arrival of the new Lady Death movie next week. It's been years in the making and WOOHOOO! Finally!
From Comics Continuum:
The Continuum has obtained a first look at Lady Death: The Motion Picture, the DVD which arrives in stores on Tuesday, Oct. 5 from ADV Films.
Producer/director Andy Orjuela spent more than four years bringing Brian Pulido's character to animation. "I think she is the ultimate anti-heroine and in some ways defines what we all sometimes wish for: the drive to achieve our goal no matter the cost," he said.
Here's how ADV describes the film's story:
"Lady Death begins in 15th Century Sweden, where Hope, the beautiful daughter of Matthias, a skilled mercenary who is in actuality Lucifer, is accused of being the devil's consort. Sentenced by the town priest to be burned at the stake, Hope is visited by the malevolent Pagan. Unable to think clearly, she accepts Lucifer's offer of life in Hell over a hideous death ... only to discover that there are far worse fates than dying. Lucifer's plan to corrupt a soul of pure innocence meets unanticipated resistance, as Hope rejects Lucifer's scheme and eventually finds herself transformed into the powerful warrior Lady Death, who challenges the Lord of Lies for control of Hell itself."
The voice cast includes Christine Auten as Lady Death/Hope, Mike Kleinhenz as Lucifer/Matthias, Andy McAvin as Pagan, Rob Mungle as Creator, Mike MacRae as Asmodeus, Chris Patton as Niccolo, Dwight Clark as Father Orbec and Maureen McCullough as Marion.
Erik Ko and UDON provided work on backgrounds.

Okay, first of all, I am not a die hard Superman fan. I like the character, watch the cartoons, think he's cool and all, but I don't collect his comics and know very little of his history. So I'm browsing my local comic shop a few days ago and I just happen to pick up a recent Superman issue (cover was cool though forget what issue and which Supes title) and skim through it. To my surprise, I learn that Lois is dead, Superman has involved himself personally in some kind of war, and the JLA members are saying they can't trust him or what he's doing, basically turning their backs on him (which I find OOC, but anyways). So my question is, What the heck happened??? Care to fill me in?

Issue #503 is not the absolute end of the current Disassembled arc, that honour goes to this celebration of Avenger's art. As announced at this summerâs conventions, the 48 page special issue will feature art from a collection of Avengers artists through the ages, including Steve Epting, George Perez, and Neal Adams, as well as an array of guest stars, but writer Brian Bendis wanted to point out one thing â this issue is not by any means a reprintâ¦or something you want to miss if youâve been faithfully keeping up with âAvengers Disassembled".

For six issues, Greg Rucka has called Adventures of Superman home, jumping in and tackling a Clark Kent who now works the graveyard shift of the crme beat (taking him out of the Daily Planet office and into a cramped, small office in the basement of the SCU HQ); Lois Lane, who headed out to the Middle East to cover a war; Mr. Mxyzpltk, back with vague warnings of a coming danger; and Ruin, a new puppetmaster whoâs already caused the death of an old JLA enemy (Replikon), as well as Replikonâs daughter.
And thatâs just in six months.
Most recently, Lois took a bullet through the chest, perilously close to the heart in Umec, and Superman rushed in to save her. A simple, heroic act that, as Superman will learn, wasnât everything it seemed to be.
In Newsaramaâs first installment of a weekâs worth of chats with Greg Rucka and Ed Brubaker, we caught up with Rucka to talk about Superman, Lois, and the cast of Adventures of Superman.

Seriously, in my oppinion, one of the best stories I've read in a long time. It has taken the DC universe and made it a tangible thing to me. I used to consider the DCU to be a joke with a bunch of lame characters and lame storylines, but this comic has altered my perception of the characters. Issue #3 of this story, Deathstroke takes on a makeshift JLA all by his lonesome and nearly kills all of them! Easily one of my favorite issues of a comic of all time! The makeshift JLA are no slouches either. the team consisted of Green Arrow, Flash, Hawkman, the Atom, Zatanna, Black Canary, and THE GREEN LANTERN (Kyle Rayner)! Sorry if it seems like I'm drooling over this if you've read it and don't agree, but this is just one man's oppinion.

It didn't take long for the group to find their way home. Waiting at the helipad with Vicki at his side was the dark haired man who had been sleeping on the sofa when they left. His suit was rumpled, his hair mussed and he looked like he had just spent the past month on a long drinking binge.
Not waiting for any of them to even bother asking he went about introducing himself to his new team.
"Most people call me Spooky, the name's Mulder, Fox Mulder...and before you say it, yeah from that tv show... it's a long story. Let's just say the government thought it would be interesting to show the American public the truth...but people didn't see past the Hollywood to know it was the truth. Yes, I'm a real FBI Agent, and yes, it as all real." he paused for a moment as he watched Chandi and Cameron letting AJ use them for support.
"You did a great job, and I think it's time for some R&R. Oh, Kei, some guy named Pietro left a message for you while you were gone. Wants you to call him back. I wrote the number on the fridge." turning, he stuffed his hands into his pants pockets and began walking back to the house, humming as he walked along. Looking back at the Guardians as they stood dumbstruck for a moment, he smiled.
"Come on, don't act like you've never seen anything like this before. You just battled Godzilla."
GM Note-Japan was fun! Now it's time for everyone to enjoy themselves. Remember, do what you like. I am here only to observe.
