What movies have you seen recently? |

Well, with a baby it's safe to say we haven't been to the movies in a while.
So fill me in on what you've seen recently and if you liked it or not.
The most "recent" movie I've seen was The Forgotten. I started watching it thinking I wasn't going to like it, and it completely sucked me in. I jumped like 4 times during it! It was soooo NOT what I thought it was going to be, was a really good movie actually.
I saw the Village on Pay per view a few weekends ago. Man, is it me or is M Night just dropping the ball on these movies anymore? I saw that ending coming a mile away! I think Signs was the last movie he did I enjoyed...without it involving alcohol.

It's been a fairly decent story. I've enjoyed Owlman I think more than anything else.
I don't know, someone fill me in here because I got a little lost and confused around the 3 installment of it.

We started picking this up from issue one, but I've had very little time to post about it.
So, is anyone reading it.
I so love that Songbird is back. She's one of my favorite characters...and that they brought my all time favorite Genis into it as well...
Well...you know where that road leads, we've all read Avengers Forever!
Overall I like the book. I think Fabian is doing a good job of trying to get it back to the grandeur it had when the first series started spiraling.

I've really enjoyed this story!!!
Just the idea of Johnny being a Herald for Galactus was funny within itself, but when Galactus basically turns to him and tells him to shut the hell up, I almost fell out of the chair laughing.
Damn, it's writing like that...makes me miss Captain Marvel!

Anyone else creeped out by Peter's pal from the past walking around looking like an Oscar?
Love Deodato's art...and the story isn't something we've read recently. However, I can't see Peter Parker being the kind of guy who would have let this kid get the hell beat out of him in school simply to keep himself from taking the beating. That's not Peter. I mean, I understand keeping under the radar and all that...
Ahh..I don't know, I'll reserve the rest of my rant for when I finish off this storyarch.

I love Greg Land! Have I told you that lately? Seriously, I LOVE GREG LAND.
Ok, that's out of the way. With the first 3 issues of Phoenix Endsong already laying in my stack of comics to file away, I felt compelled to write something on here about it.
LOVE the artwork, can't get enough of that...and the story...wow.
I'm hooked. Really, it's such a different thing. Nothing major, just hearing the Phoenix in it's own words, rather than in someone else's.
More issues on the way, I'll write more when I know more. Your thoughts?

Yeah...you? Yeah I'm talking to you?
Ok, so here's my point. My best friend and Isabelle's Godmother is on vacation right, probably burning her buns at some exclusive resort or whatever...and I'm stuck in rainy midwest US.
So, thinking about vacations... are you planning on one this year? Where are you going?
Oh come on come on! I've got to have someone to envy when I look out the window at the prepetual "Scottish" weather I'm having!

Saying a fond farewell to Mystique |

I've read the Mystique series from day one and I have to say I was more entertained by it at times than I was Cable/Deadpool. (Wade MAKES that book)
However, Mystique having said her swan song, what was your thoughts on this series. Personally, I thought the ending BLEW! The whole last part of the "Quiet" story was lackluster compared to the writing in the beginning.
I'd like to see ShortPack continue on somewhere...and the few glimpses at Fantomex's comical side was nice.
I'll probably miss it...can't say for sure yet!
